Since its inception, Oasis Online Academy has been on the look forward to exploring innovative ways through which students and teachers can have access to educative materials online.
We looked at the cell phone and noticed that today, 90% of students in urban areas have an android phone, about 65% of those in semi-Urban settings have an android phone, and about 57% of those in rural areas have access to android phones. This brought us to imagine the future of schools in Cameroon with the use of cell phones by students. We therefore had to rethink strategies to bring education at the door steps of students without geographical limitations. Hence, the birth of online educational videos to reach out to students across the national territory.
With the emphasis on E-learning by the ministry of Secondary Education, we can't help but see a rising need of cell phones in schools.
But, how practical is this?
