Who is Chilli Wawaye?

Chilli Wawaye, born Fonyuy Claudette Mbinkar, is a renowned Cameroonian folklore artist, cultural ambassador, and fashion designer. She's known for promoting indigenous sounds and melodies through her music, which often features traditional rhythms and influences from African legends like Miriam Makeba and Angelique Kidjo. Here are some highlights of her career:

- Music Career:
- Released several albums, including "BIR WOR" and "MY HERITAGE", showcasing her unique blend of traditional and modern styles
- Featured artist on various tracks, including "Garde La Foi" and "One Love"
- Performed at numerous national and international events, such as Panafest in Washington, USA, and Afrifest in Texas

- Awards and Recognition:
- Winner of the African Criterium Award
- Recognized as "YESUM Yov" (Cultural Ambassador) by the Fon of Nso
- Best Artiste at the Bui Music Awards (2015)
