A Chilean classic for rainy days, "Sopaipillas Pasadas" are fried rounds of fluffy, crispy squash-enriched dough covered in a syrup made from dark cane sugar and infused with orange, clove, and cinnamon.

South American Empanadas.

Empanada "Pino" filled. Add the chopped onions and cook, stirring, until the onions are softened and fragrant. Add the garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.
