If you love animals this is your day tour!

It begins with a 90 minute car ride from La Serena. The ride is a little winding and bumpy throughout the Quebrada de Choros, though you can sight foxes, donkeys, guanacos, and horses.

Once in Punta Choros you jump on a small boat with 6-10 others on a 15 minute boatride towards Isla Choros where you can spot birds, sea lions, and maybe even bottlenose dolphins. During the end of January s***m whales are in migration, so if you do a "Whale Dance" you may get an exciting sighting!

It can get a little chilly so be sure to bring a jacket or sweater. :)

Just off of Isla Choros you'll see sea lions suntanning,dozing off, living the easy life. You then come up to the unique geological formations of the island, where various flocks of species make their life. Birdspotters here is your moment angle, snap, and capture those photos! Red legged cormorants, guanay cormorant, blackish oystercatchers, Peruvian Boobys, and of course the star of the tour, the Spheniscus humboldti a.k.a Humboldt Penguins :)
