The Year 10 students at Tereora College are back again with their Unit Standard focused on Peu Maori.

Starting with Rangaranga, our Year 10 students will be learning and taking part in many different areas of Peu Maori this term. Later in the term they will be learning Peu Tarekareka e te Tamataora, Korero, Peu Tunu Kai, Ura and Imene.

Before each activity, students complete procedural writing in Te Reo Maori. This means that they learn to write the steps of each activity before doing it practically. This helps them to improve both their writing and speaking skills in Te Reo Maori while learning through real cultural experiences.

We look forward to seeing our students continue to grow in confidence, knowledge and appreciation of our culture and traditions throughout the term.
