We held a fire evacuation practice drill with the children this morning 😍 We rang the bell, assembled on the mat close to the gate, called out everyone's names to make sure we were all there, then lined up as if we were going to walk out the gate and wait at the tennis courts. Then we sang our fire safety song 🙂 Important practice, which we carry out very carefully, so that we don't scare the little darlings, but keep them safe.

APPRECIATION POST:
Huge thanks to the New Zealand High Commission, Rarotonga, Cook Islands for granting us $14,400 in funding, to build a huge new shade roof in front of our preschool. We now have a beautiful, multi-purpose, shaded, much cooler area, where the children can eat their lunch, have mat times and other fun activities. It's has also meant we now have space inside for a cosy reading area, where the tables used to be. Thanks also to Noah Taio from Ark Construction, who built the shade area during the school holidays. We are very grateful for this new addition to our preschool, which has greatly enhanced the outdoor space for our children, especially during this hot weather! Thanks again to everyone involved with this project 🙂

APPRECIATION POST:
Huge thanks to Airport Authority Cook Islands and the team at Rescue Fire, for our preschool visit to see the fire trucks last week. Our children got to hold the water hose, try on some rescue safety gear and went for a ride in the fire engine. It was such a wonderful morning for our children, staff and parents. Thank-you very much, to everyone involved in making it happen 😍🚒

Kia Orana, term 3 starts on Monday and we have places available for 2, 3 and 4 year old children.
