At Foundations for Learning, we believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Established in 2009 as a registered non-profit foundation, we support children, young people, families, and schools across Switzerland through a collaborative, evidence-based, and individualised approach. With practitioners based in Zürich, Basel, Zug and beyond, our team includes experienced teachers, psychologists, behavioural specialists, and speech and language therapists.

💡Start the summer off with a perfect combination of productivity and fun! What’s trending? From social media hype to scientific literacy, students follow the arc: Claim, Connect, Calculate, Conclude. Each session is organized around a real-world health claim that links to the sciences—biology, chemistry, and physics—with maths framing at least 25% of the content each day.

🔍Designed for students preparing for competitive university programs, the course develops both scientific understanding and the ability to articulate curiosity about wider scientific issues with confidence. Inspired by the style of German chemist-communicator & YouTuber Dr. Mai, the modules blend theories and demos with fast-paced investigative lectures resembling a mini-medical school with discussions shaped by student interests. Unlike short crash-course revision, this week-long program enriches learning through continuity and feedback for a lasting impact, offering impressions to be talked about in college essays & interviews.

Motivated upper-secondary students (IB, AP, A-Level, or Matura) seeking to strengthen assessment performance, apply learning across disciplines, and prepare for university-level study through the cross-curricular contexts, questions, and prompts featured in international assessments.

Students follow the arc: Scaffold, Shape, Strengthen, refining the architecture of ideas through research, storytelling, and style. Each session blends analytical frameworks with creative flow, showing how strong writing transforms evidence into insight and structure into influence.

✍Students explore the role of AI as a diagnostic mirror for organization and tone while preserving integrity, and authenticity in their writing. Adapt academic thinking to personal narrative. More than just a writing course, these summer modules cultivate design thinking for language—developing habits of analysis, reflection, and craftsmanship that define writing for higher education and professional communication beyond.
