Two days from “Should I try it?” to my first frontflip with skis. 😅

86% of you said YES… so I guess I had no choice. 😂

First send wasn’t perfect.

Second one already felt better.

And now… this could definitely become a thing. 👀

What should I try next?

33 years apart. Same obsession. 🔥

He’s 18. I’m 51.

We train together, push each other and definitely don’t learn the same way. 😅

Age decides where you start.
Not where you finish.

So… who learns faster? 👇

"Why don't you just train on the airbag?"

We get that question a lot.

The answer is simple:

🏃 Trampoline = more repetitions.
🎿 Airbag = more realism.

On the trampoline we can repeat tricks over and over again, fix technique and build muscle memory.

On the airbag we add skis, speed, timing and takeoff.

Neither is better.

Together, they're the fastest way to progress.

That's why we train both.

Which one would you choose? Trampoline or airbag? 👇

He's not just my son.

He's also the athlete I coach.

This is a Double Cork 1620:
2 flips. 4.5 spins.

On this attempt one ski came off.....and he still landed it.

That's exactly why we spend so many hours on airbags.

Progress isn't just about landing bigger tricks.
It's about making mistakes in the safest place possible.

Better here.....than on snow.

Would you have kept going after losing a ski? 👇

Every trick you see on snow started long before the first jump.

It starts with understanding.
Then repetition.
Then hundreds of small improvements.

There are no shortcuts.

Our process looks like this:
• Learn the movement.
• Master it on the trampoline.
• Transfer it to the airbag.
• Repeat.
• Improve one detail at a time.
• Finally take it to snow.

Progress isn't about talent.
It's about trusting the process.

Which step surprised you the most?

Mission 1 – Cork 7
Update 1 ✅

I thought one more trampoline session would help before my airbag training.

Turns out...
It did the opposite.

I showed up feeling tired, my timing was off, and nothing felt as sharp as usual.

Sometimes progress isn't about training more.
It's about recovering better.

Lesson learned:
Don't do a hard trampoline session the evening before an airbag day.

Mission status: 50%.

Follow to see if I can land a clean Cork 7 on snow this winter. 🎯

My coach is 33 years younger than me.

And honestly… I couldn't ask for a better one.

At 51, learning new tricks isn't just about courage.
Sometimes it's about listening.

Noël sees mistakes I don't even notice.
A small correction…
One more try…
Suddenly everything feels different.

You're never too old to learn.
Sometimes the best teacher is your own son.

Would you let your child coach you? 👇

Some people see the age gap.

We see another training partner.

One of us is 18.
The other is 51.

Different tricks.
Different goals.
Same passion.

Every session is another chance to learn, improve and push a little further than yesterday.

This isn't just about freestyle skiing.
It's about proving that passion doesn't have an age limit.

Follow our journey. 🤝

Mission 2 – Backflip
Mission Status: 25% 🎯

A few weeks ago, this trick scared me more than anything.

Every failed attempt taught me something.
Every repetition made the fear a little smaller.

That's why I train on a trampoline first.
A safe environment lets me build confidence before taking the next step.

This mission is far from over...
But for the first time, I can actually feel the progress.

Follow the journey and let's see if I can land it on snow. ❄️👊

Some people think I'm teaching my son.

The truth?

He teaches me every single week.

To stop making excuses.
To be patient.
To accept falling.
To keep learning.
To trust the process.

He reminded me that progress doesn't care how old you are.

It only cares if you keep showing up.

If this inspires you, follow our journey. We're just getting started. 💜
