Elena Vostrotina is Principal Dancer of Zurich Ballet and a Vaganova-trained artist whose career has taken her from St. Petersburg to Semperoper Ballett and Ballett Zürich.

Her experience includes major classical roles such as Odette/Odile, Nikiya, Myrtha, Aurora and the Lilac Fairy, alongside a wide contemporary and neoclassical repertoire.

We are delighted to announce Wim Vanlessen as part of the ART of – Ballet Summer Course Madrid teacher team.

Wim Vanlessen is Artistic Director of Time To Dance and a former Principal Dancer of Royal Ballet of Flanders. A Prix de Lausanne prize winner himself, he was also selected as a jury member for the Prix de Lausanne 2025.

His career includes leading roles in major classical and contemporary works, with experience across repertoire by choreographers such as Cranko, Béjart, Grigorovich, Balanchine, Akram Khan, Forsythe, Maillot and Dawson.

In Madrid, participants will have the opportunity to work with Wim on ballet, repertoire and the professional qualities that support a dancer’s growth: clarity, presence, musicality and confidence.

Claudio is an acclaimed Italian choreographer and former First Soloist with Dresden Semperoper Ballett and Ballet of Flanders. His artistic path includes collaborations with some of the most influential choreographers of our time, including William Forsythe, Akram Khan, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Mats Ek.

Dr. Luis Gadea Mateos holds a PhD in Dance Science and has been Head Physical Therapist of the National Dance Company of Spain since 2001. He is also a professor and researcher in dance science at the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid.

In Madrid, participants will have the opportunity to learn from his deep experience in dance health, injury prevention, physical preparation and the demands of professional performance.

Anna Urban is a former Principal Dancer of Hamburg Ballet and Ballet Teacher at the School of Hamburg Ballet. Her career combines the strength of the Vaganova tradition with the artistic world of John Neumeier’s Hamburg Ballet.
