2023 Ahhh~ Spring Tongqinghe Black Tea from
- Very tasty black tea, with more complexity than most. I only grabbed 40g and it disappeared very quickly!

As my tea collection grows, I find myself more and more invested in storage. This brass tea caddy is a bit of a splurge, and makes me happy just to open it. I keep my current favourite Oolong tea in it, until finished, then refill.

This one I picked up at earlier this year.

2008 Xia Guan 下关 T9883.5

Simply a great balance of price and quality for an aged Puer tea. I end up drinking this more than half the week.

2023 Gentle Giant from

Well rounded, gentle balance, strong feeling after drinking and a slightly sweet aftertaste.

2023 Big Old Ass Tree from

It really is in the name. A tasty, strong, strong tea. Surprisingly little bitterness.

Lots of great articles as usual, and diverse enough that I always learn new things. I loved the Wuyi picture series too!

Miaoli Oolong from

Wonderful floral notes, great texture, and just an all around moreish oolong tea.

Spring High Mountain from

A great place to start people new to oolong tea. Light, green, and hints of floral notes. It isn't my usual style, but fits nicely in as a regular drinker.

2022 Roasted Yimu Oolong from

Such great texture. The roast really adds to how it rolls around on your palette.

2022 Rou Kui from

Another great Wuyi tea, one I’ve been slowly dipping into over the colder months. It was refreshing to enjoy it with the emergence of spring!

1988 Wild Liu Bao from

All the classic notes of very old Liu Bao, musty, mushroom, forest floor vibes. What makes this one stand out is the energy. It crept up on me, and I didn’t feel much, just a bit more alert. Nowhere near the smack you in the face of a young sheng. Then later, I tried sleeping. Nope. This was a very powerful, clean vibe, that gave me lots of concentration without being over the top.

Good mouthfeel later in the session too, and it just kept going. A delightful tea. Just be warned for afternoon sessions!

2022 Pain & Pleasure from

Less bitter than I was expecting to begin with. Not the over the top Laomane vibe, but present none the less.

Settles into an intense session. You'll feel this one all the way to the backs of your cheeks. Very juicy.
