SYPT: Swiss Young Physicists' Tournament -
Where tomorrow's scientists meet. There they compete with students from all around the world (http://iypt.org/Home).

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The SYPT is a national physics competition for high school students. Every year 17 open ended physics problems are released by an international committee, encouraging students to engage in scientific research. Over the course of the last years the SYPT has established itself as an attractive opportunity for talented students interested in natural sciences from across Switzerland. Participants may choose one of the 17 problems and are expected to discuss both theoretical and experimental aspects. Unlike most other scientific competitions the Swiss Young Physicists’ Tournament is a team event. The students form groups of three and compete against each other in so called “physics fights”. The five best students have the opportunity to represent Switzerland at the "International Young Physicists' Tournament" (IYPT). For more information visit our homepage
