Spending time at HOH in Gressier was the most fulfilling thing I have ever done in my entire life. I spent 5 days living in a tent at the orphanage in November 2010 after the earthquake. I listened to the kids stories, gave them hugs, and paid attention to them. That was all they needed to be happy. Food and shelter came only secondary. Thanks to Mrs. Alice Bartole, my dream of staying in an orphanage was realized (God rest her soul). I will forever be grateful for the experience. If you ever have the chance, please visit HOH or any orphanage for that matter. The experience is priceless and it will make you a better human being. I love and miss the kids I met there. I think of them often and long for my return everyday. God willing 🙏🏾
