Morsi Unmasks His True Self And Emulates Obama By Giving Himself Dictatorial Powers
Well, well, well, what do we have here? Another dictator in Islamist clothes in a Middle Eastern country who was put into power as a result of CIA machinations? Say it ain't so!
What a shocker.
Here is an excerpt from an AP article called, "Egypt's Morsi grants himself far-reaching powers":
Egypt’s Islamist president unilaterally decreed greater authorities for himself Thursday and effectively neutralized a judicial system that had emerged as a key opponent by declaring that the courts are barred from challenging his decisions.
Riding high on U.S. and international praise for mediating a Gaza cease-fire, Mohammed Morsi put himself above oversight and gave protection to the Islamist-led assembly writing a new constitution from a looming threat of dissolution by court order.
But the move is likely to fuel growing public anger that he and his Muslim Brotherhood are seizing too much power.
Morsi, a Muslim Trojan Horse, is fulfilling the wishes of his CIA masters in Gaza, Syria, and across the region.
A US puppet can declare himself dictator with no resistance from Washington. The religious exterior of Morsi's personality and political leanings doesn't matter. The CIA brotherhood and Muslim Brotherhood are one happy family.
And so what if there is popular resistance in the streets of Egypt? That's what tanks, soldiers, and U.S. weapons are for. All those poor souls who sacrificed themselves at Tahrir Square did not die for freedom. They just blazed the trail of blood for Morsi and his gang, who are now walking on this trail while being led by the hand of the CIA and its undercover agent in the White House, President Obama.
Here is an excerpt from, "Morsy Issues Constitutional Decree - Declares Himself Pharaoh," by Moon of Alabama:
Mursi also gave himself the power to take any decision to "protect the revolution."
We will not hear a word of protest over this from the White House. Just imagine an Egypt where the government would have to implement what the Egyptian people want. The horrors. Much nicer than to have a new dictator, even a religious one, to implement Washington's policies.
The Egyptian revolution has failed. It will now devour its children.
The revolution? What revolution?
Morsi and Obama are the best of buddies says Fouad Ajami in his article, "Morsi, Obama, and the Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship." An excerpt:
Morsi and the collective leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood know the terms of Egypt’s relationship with the United States. They are in need of American financial assistance—theirs is a country that is the world’s top importer of wheat, a burdened country with a budget deficit of 11 percent of GDP. Governance in Egypt is tethered to feeding and subsidizing a huge and rebellious population. Rulers have leeway in that crowded country, but food riots have been the nightmare of rulers. Washington’s help is crucial, and the Brotherhood knows when purity has to yield to necessity.
Egyptians can thank the CIA for their new Islamist overlord.
Egypt is still a U.S. client state. It does everything Washington wants. Morsi has used his political capital to 1) interfere in Syria's foreign-imposed crisis by calling for the removal of Assad, and 2) bring Palestinians to the table to fruitlessly negotiate with an irrational enemy that gave up on peace a long time ago.
