What a way to begin the school year! 🌱

Our Gaia Changemakers Program was excited to spend an ENTIRE week with changemakers from Zurich International School, focused on the topic of Sustainable Design.

Of course, Sustainable design can mean so many things. We focused on the principles of Permaculture Design, and what better place to begin, than in a permaculture garden! Through the week, we wove art, design, engineering and some fun scooter rides into the week, seeing these principles in action in the real world. We are most proud of the projects our changemakers did. Combining their passion, inspiration and learning to create change. They created projects that encompassed the 3 elements of sustainability (Environment, Society and Economy). We had sustainably designed period products to tackle period poverty, a whole new business idea for collecting textile waste, transforming it into trendy bags, modular toys, converting waste into bricks, a board game to educate even more changemakers.

We are so proud of them!
