Beetroot Gratin Recipe🥕
This colourful dish is rich in antioxidants, which support circulation and overall performance.
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
300 g cooked beetroot, diced
1 small Hokkaido pumpkin (approx. 300–400 g), diced
4 potatoes, pre-cooked
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
4 tbsp olive oil
Spices: salt, pepper, paprika, Italian herbs
4 thyme sprigs
200 g feta cheese
Optional: walnut pieces, honey
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200 °C (top and bottom heat).
Boil potatoes for 15–20 minutes until almost done.
Mix beetroot, pumpkin, garlic, and potatoes with olive oil, spices, and thyme sprigs.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Remove briefly, sprinkle feta on top, and bake for another 10 minutes.
Optionally, garnish with walnuts and a drizzle of honey.

2026 Highlights from our Students: Liv Kofmel🩰
Our dancer Liv Kofmel, training at the Ballettschule für das Opernhaus Zürich, received an A+ at the Dance Suisse Talent Scouting Days 2026.
The Talent Scouting Days are a nationwide programme by the Swiss Dance Association, where young dance talents are evaluated by a professional jury.

The evening was once again accompanied by some fantastic performances from our students. Singing, dancing, violin and even a creative video by the leaving class made this an extra-special evening.

It was a great pleasure to welcome a delegation from Right to Dream to Switzerland, an international organisation that combines talent development in football with education and character development.🇬🇭⚽
What was particularly valuable for us was the opportunity to look at talent development from different cultural perspectives. Ghana and Switzerland are very different contexts, yet the fundamental questions remain similar: How do we support young people in their development? How do we combine education, personal growth and sporting excellence? And how do we create environments in which young people are seen, challenged and supported beyond their talent alone?
It was inspiring to see how much we can learn from one another when we look beyond our own structures and remain open to different approaches.
A sincere thank you to Dionne Fritswa Boateng and Bright Sewu from Right to Dream Ghana, as well as to Enver Klaiqi from Barça Academy Zurich, for the inspiring exchange. 🙏
We look forward to continuing this dialogue and seeing where this growing connection may lead.
Swiss Academy End of Year Event 🎓
As every year, we held our annual End of Year Event, bringing together students, teachers and parents to celebrate the end of another successful school year.
We celebrated our graduating students and presented a few well-deserved awards in recognition of our students‘ achievements throughout the year.
The afternoon featured wonderful performances by our students, including dancing, singing and playing music. 🎶💃🎤

Our Year 4 students concluded their time at Swiss Academy Zürich with a graduation trip to Barcelona.
The highlight of the trip was a visit to the FC Barcelona Museum and La Masia at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. There, the students received an exclusive tour of the Barça Academy and learned how the club trains its young athletes. As an official Barça Academy partner, it was special for us to share this experience with our students.
Thank you to our students for the trust and memories over the years. We are proud of the young people they have become and wish them every success in their future studies, careers and personal ambitions.

Whole Grain Wraps Recipe🌯
This fresh, fiber-rich option supports digestion and provides long-lasting satiety.

Ingredients (for 2 persons):
4 whole grain wraps
2 avocados, mashed with salt and pepper as guacamole
1 carrot
1 cucumber
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
2 large tomatoes
50 g arugula
100 g corn
240 g kidney beans
250 g chicken breast, diced
Spices of choice
Optional: a little oil for frying
Instructions:
Prepare avocado: mash and season with salt and pepper.
Wash and cut vegetables into strips, rinse arugula.
Season and cook chicken.
Spread wraps with guacamole, fill with vegetables, corn, beans, and chicken.
Optionally, lightly toast the wraps in a pan.

Group Day 26: Beach Volleyball 🏐
Last week, more than 40 students from our Zurich and Basel campuses came together for the 3rd edition of the Swiss Academy Group Day.
It was an amazing day with a lot beach volleyball challenges to friendly matches, laughs and new connections. The students had plenty of fun whilst strengthening their teamwork.
A huge thank you to all students and staff who made this day such a success and to Zuzu Beach Volleyball for the courts.
