Would you still do what you're about to do today, if today were your last day?

Ask it once and the answer barely registers.

Let the answer be "no" for a few days in a row, and it turns into a signal.

A signal that something in life needs to change.

Remembering you're going to die is one of the best tools I know for remembering what's truly important.

External expectations, pride, fear of embarrassment or failure, held against death, all carry no weight.

It sounds morbid. It isn't. The question doesn't hand you permission to gamble.

It shows you that most of what was holding you back was probably never all-that-important to begin with.

Here's what I actually do, in one straight line.

I take a consultant's scattered expertise and turn it into one clear, sellable offer. A niche. A signature system. A business model that actually works.

The people I help usually have real expertise. Years of it. What they don't have is one sentence that says what they sell, why it's important and to whom.

And that's the expensive part. Not the missing skill. The missing clarity.

Because as long as the offer stays vague, the market stays confused. Confused people don't buy. They hesitate, they compare, they go silent.

Right now the experts getting booked aren't the most skilled ones in the room. They're the clearest ones.

One of the questions we get most often is: who do you help?

It sounds like it's asking about industry or company size, but that's only half of the equation.

Based on my experience, qualifiers work in two layers, run in order.

First layer: the profile. The demographics have to match before anything else is worth checking.

Second layer: four qualifiers on top of that.

Open and willing to learn.
Ready to implement and take action.
Ready to invest in themselves and their business.
Taking Ownership - no blame, no denial, no justifying.

Miss one, and that's the disqualifier, even when the profile is exactly right.

So the honest answer to 'who do you help' isn't one filter. It's two. The demographics get you in the room. The four qualifiers decide if you stay.

Before anything else on a discovery call, there's one line I say first.

"My job today is really simple. I'm going to ask you a few questions to work out if or how I can help you."

Then: "If I can't, I'll let you know politely and try to point you elsewhere."

First thirty seconds. Before any pitch.

It turns the call into a two-way filter instead of a one-way sell. Nobody's being sold to. We're both just finding out if there's a fit.

Six years ago, my grandson was born.

And I started looking for places where children could create freely, feel safe to be themselves, and grow from the inside out.

Not just another activity or "just" crafts but something deeper.

I couldn’t find it.

So I decided to build it.

For over 25 years, I’ve been studying personal development. I wrote children’s books about the Laws of Happiness and created playful tools like the Lucky Dragon, Gratitude Stones and the Chatty Parrot, helping children notice their inner critic and choose kinder, stronger thoughts.

But all of this needed more than tools, books and ideas.

It needed a space.

After 1.5 years of pop-ups, two smaller CreativitySpaces in Kallern and Zürich, and many moments where giving up would have been the easier option, Nathalie’s Wonderland is now taking its next big step.

On November 1, Nathalie’s Wonderland opens in Schongau.

650m² for creativity, play, connection and gentle personal growth.

Children won’t just build dragon worlds here.

They’ll learn self-trust, emotional resilience and the joy of creating without pressure, grading or comparison.

And often, the adults remember something too: Magic doesn’t come from doing more.

It comes from seeing differently ❤️

You’ve met someone and disliked them on sight.

No reason you could name. They’d done nothing. You just knew something was off - and couldn’t have explained it if you tried.

That’s not “a vibe.” That’s your subconscious moving faster than your conscious mind can follow.$

Researchers who study this estimate the gap is enormous. Your conscious mind processes only a tiny fraction of what reaches you - a trickle - while the subconscious is thought to handle millions of signals in the same moment, below the surface.

So by the time your rational brain forms its first polite thought about a person, the quiet part of you has already read millions of signals and reached a verdict.

Your prospect is doing the same thing to you.

Before you’ve made your real point - sometimes before you’ve finished your first sentence - something in them has already leaned in or pulled back. Your tone. Your pace. Whether you actually listened, or just waited for your turn to talk.

It’s why a technically perfect pitch can still die in the room. The argument was flawless. But you tripped the wrong signal in the first few seconds, and spent the rest of the conversation talking to a door that had already closed.

You can’t control every signal.

But stop treating the opening seconds as warm-up. That’s where the decision actually starts 👍

For a long time, I wanted to write a story about the parts of us we don’t usually talk about.

The ones that interrupt our peace.

The ones that worry, judge, doubt, comment, predict disaster, or quietly ruin a happy moment before it can fully arrive. And if you are an entrepreneur, founder, creator, or anyone who has ever put an idea into the world, you probably know these parts very well.

They show up before the launch. Before the sales call. Before the post. Before the price increase.

Before the moment when something actually starts to work, and happiness gets suspiciously loud.

So I turned them into roommates. Five of them.

And I gave them a house.

Melody and The Magic is the story of a girl who lives in a little house in the woods. From the outside, it looks quiet. But inside, Melody is never truly alone.

Her five roommates follow her through the hallway, sit with her in the kitchen, crowd her quiet moments, and somehow always know how to turn even her happiest moments into something heavy.

She has tried for years to keep the house peaceful.

Some days, she almost succeeds.

Most days, the quiet disappears before breakfast.

Then, one day, hidden in a dusty attic, Melody discovers an old book called The Magic.

And page by page, something begins to change.

I won’t tell you what happens next. But I will tell you why I wrote it:

Because after more than 30 years in business, and over 25 years of studying personal development, I realized that the most powerful ideas don’t always need complicated language.

Sometimes they need a story simple enough that a child can understand it.

And honest enough that an adult finally does (no offense, I'm talking about myself 😅).

Melody and The Magic is now available on Amazon 🎉😀🥳

You win three hotel vouchers. Five-star, three nights, worth a thousand each.$

You can’t use them, so you give them to three friends.

One’s a workaholic - laptop on holiday, email every ten minutes.
One’s a gym-every-morning, tennis-on-weekends type.
One’s pure “seize the day” - pool, buffet, no agenda.

Would you describe the voucher the same way to all three?

I wouldn’t.

To the first: fast Wi-Fi, quiet rooms to actually work in.
To the second: the gym, the tennis court.
To the third: the buffet and the pool bar.

Same voucher. Three different conversations.

No lying. No overselling. Just pointing each person at the part that was always going to matter to them.

That’s the part most people skip in a sales conversation. They build one pitch and run it at everyone - then blame the pitch when half the room doesn’t move.

It’s not the pitch.

There’s no single best way to present what you do. There’s only the version that fits the person sitting across from you 🎉

Before you send more messages, run more ads, hire more salespeople or invest in automation, ask yourself one question:

Can a six-year-old understand what you do?

If the answer is no, your prospects probably can't explain it either.

A strong value proposition is usually:

✓ Simple
✓ Short
✓ Specific

Not a list of services. Not a 25-minute explanation. Not "we help everyone."

In thousands of conversations over the past decade, only a small percentage of people have genuinely impressed me with a value proposition that was both concise and compelling.

That's a problem.

Because attention is one of the most expensive currencies in business today. Your prospect isn't waiting for you to get to the point. They're deciding whether you're worth listening to.

The easier you are to understand, the easier you are to remember. And the easier you are to remember, the easier you are to buy from.

What's your value proposition in one sentence?

Ever bought something slightly ridiculous? The expensive dress. The watch. The car that cost more than it should have.And...

Ever bought something slightly ridiculous?

The expensive dress. The watch. The car that cost more than it should have.

And remember how fast you explained it to yourself after?

“I needed it for the meeting.”

“It signals success - it’ll bring in business.”

The decision wasn’t made by logic. It was made by emotion. The logic showed up second - not to decide, but to justify.

There’s a reason. Information hits the emotional brain before the rational one. So anything that doesn’t touch an emotion on the way in gets filed as unimportant and never really reaches the part you were trying to convince.

You’ve felt this. Someone talks at you, you check out halfway through, and by the end you couldn’t repeat a word. Not rudeness - your brain just dismissed it. Nothing connected.

Now look at how most sales presentations are built.

Features. Specs. A neat list of what’s included. All aimed at the reasoning brain - the part that only gets a vote after the emotional one has already decided.

We’re not rational people who sometimes get emotional. We’re emotional people who are excellent at sounding rational afterwards.

Sell to the part that decides first 😉
