What an inspiring evening at the Zurich International School Neurodiversity Family Event last night!

It was such a pleasure to have a Sinaps ADHD booth again this year, surrounded by so many passionate educators, parents, and children excited to learn about all the wonderful support available for neurodivergent students.

The enthusiasm and curiosity from families was truly heartwarming. 💛

And this year, one lucky family won our draw for a Sinaps CORE Box, a toolkit designed to bring more Calm, Organisation, Regulation and Engagement into everyday life, packed with my favorite tools.

A big thank you to the ZIS community for continuing to champion inclusion and neurodiversity with such energy and warmth.

In a group of 20 women, statistically, you’d expect 1 to have ADHD.

But this weekend, I spent time with a group of incredible entrepreneurial women and at least 5 openly shared their ADHD diagnosis (or self-diagnosis).

So what gives?

Why is the entrepreneurial world so attractive to those with ADHD?

One woman took the stage to share her journey and how she turned her challenges into a thriving, mind-blowingly successful business.

Here’s what she said:

“I get to decide when and how I work.” She uses a standing desk with a treadmill underneath so she can walk while working.

“I don’t have to be a morning person.” She starts her day with exercise and doesn’t sit down to work until 10:00 or 11:00 am.

“I don’t have to stress about a boss if I need a duvet day.”

“I delegate logistics to my assistant so I can stay in my zone of genius.”

“I get to be radically me.” She built a life where she doesn’t have to mask or hide her identity.

This woman is hyper-successful but she said she struggled in the corporate world.

Why?

Because she was trying to fit herself to the environment instead of creating an environment that fit her.

If you’ve ever felt like you're constantly adapting to a world that wasn’t built for your brain, or you're juggling work, parenting, and relationships while silently wondering “Why is this so hard for me?” you’re not alone.

You don’t need to push harder. You need a better fit.

Send me a DM with the word "red", and let’s talk about how to create a life at work or at home where you feel more understood, more in control, and more you!

When your Child refuses to go to school

When Your ADHD Child Refuses to Go to School: 7 Questions to Ask to Get to the Root of the Problem

School refusal is a significant challenge for many children with ADHD. Unlike occasional reluctance, persistent refusal can signal deeper issues that aren’t always obvious, and while it can be incredibly frustrating for parents, there’s often more to the story than meets the eye. Instead of jumping to conclusions, like assuming your child is just being lazy, avoiding responsibility, or trying to manipulate you, take a step back and approach the situation with curiosity.

How Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) Impacts Relationships and What You Can Do About It

Imagine this: Your partner makes a casual comment about the laundry still sitting in the basket. Logically, you know it’s just an observation, maybe even a mild frustration. But before you can stop yourself, a wave of shame and hurt crashes over you. Your mind races “They think I’m lazy. They’re disappointed in me. Maybe they don’t even love me anymore.”

Mothers with guilt

A Personal Story: The Guilt of Parenting a Child with ADHD

I remember the gut-wrenching guilt that followed my divorce, a guilt that clung to me like a shadow. I tormented myself with the idea that somehow, I had caused my child's ADHD. Maybe the stress, the emotional rollercoaster, or my inability to hold everything together had contributed to his struggles. It wasn't until I learned about the genetic nature of ADHD that I was able to release that burden and understand that this was never about something I had done or failed to do.

The Silent Struggle of ADHD Parenting

Parenting and ADHD: Why You Might Be Struggling More Than You Realize

I see you. The weight of constant overwhelm, feeling like you're never doing enough for your children, trying to juggle it all while your own needs take a back seat. The frustration that comes with seeing your child struggle, while at the same time, you're quietly battling your own emotional storms. It's the silent struggle that too many parents of children with ADHD face, and it often goes unnoticed by others and even by the parents themselves.....

Why Your 10-Year-Old Might Have the Impulse Control of a 6-Year-Old

Have you ever looked at your child and thought, They should be able to handle this by now? Maybe your 10-year-old melts down over small frustrations, your teenager forgets homework assignments daily, or your 8-year-old can’t seem to transition from one activity to another without a battle.

It’s easy to feel frustrated, especially when you see their peers managing just fine. But here’s something that might change how you see these struggles: Executive Age vs.............
