Après cette période de crise sanitaire, nous sommes très heureux de vous annoncer que nous allons enfin pouvoir nous retrouver pour célébrer le 60ème anniversaire du Collège du Léman. C'est un événement important et nous avons préparé un week-end festif pour tous les anciens élèves en collaboration avec la direction du CDL (www.cdl.ch) et de Nord Anglia Education (www.nordangliaeducation.com). C'est avec une très grande émotion que ses ami(e)s et nombreux anciens élèves, doivent vous annoncer le décès d'Éveline lovino, le 2 juillet 2020 à Gex. Elle a rejoint ses parents et son frère Georges.

Avec brio et dévouement, grande lettrée, elle aura consacré sa vie aux enfants et à l'enseignement, avec notamment une longue carrière au Collège du Léman à Versoix. Personnalité attachante, sa pédagogie légendaire, son savoir enseigner si particulier et efficace, resteront à jamais gravés dans nos mémoires.

Un hommage civil suivi de l'inhumation, auront lieu au cimetière de Divonne-les-bains, le mercredi 15 juillet 2020, à 14h30.

It is with great sadness that today we lost an awesome CDL graduate from the late 1960’s. Bernie Spigt, class of 1969, passed away today June 16, 2020. Big Bern RIP🙏

Dear CDL Alumni,

As events around the world have accelerated in recent days and weeks, we have been meeting regularly to review our plans for the 60th Anniversary celebration at CDL at the start of June. We completely understand that many alumni feel unable to book flights at this point and that there is a question mark about bringing together a large number of people so soon.

We have therefore made the difficult decision to postpone the 60th Anniversary event until later in the year.

At the moment we are asking you to please ‘Save the Date’ and pencil in Saturday 26th September as the proposed new timing. We expect to continue with the exciting weekend programme, including the evening get-together on the Friday 25th and activities on the Sunday 27th for those that would like to join.

Please bear with us that we cannot yet fully confirm this date as we still need to finalise logistics. We felt it was most important though to get you all a clear answer that we are postponing and to provide an alternative date that we can firm up as quickly as we can.

Thank you for your understanding and we want to take this opportunity to wish our alumni and their families all the best and we hope everyone stays safe during this challenging time.

It is with great sadness that we were notified that our dear kitchen chef and football coach Robert Smulders passed away in Crans-Montana after a long illness. We are sure that he left many found memories from our CDL years and a lot of you left lasting memories with him. May he now Rest In Peace.

It is with great regret that we announce that Pat Raggett pass away today. She broke her hip a few weeks ago and after some complications she passed away. She was accompanied by Caroline Ross and John Raggett on her last moments. Can we express our sincere condolences to Ms Ross and to Mr Raggett. Rest In Peace Ms Raggett.

Dear CDL Alumni,

As we approach the start of the new school year here at Collège du Léman, we are delighted to share a series of fresh new videos of the school as well as an update on some upcoming Alumni events. The CDL campus has evolved a lot over the past 60 years and we're always happy to share some images that may bring back memories to so many of our Alumni all over the globe.

Please feel free to share these videos with any family or friends who are interested in CDL. We would also like to remind you that if you are an Alumni making an application for your child (1st generation) Collège du Léman will waive the development free during the application process for our Alumni.

Please also SAVE THE DATE for our 60th Anniversary Reunion that we are planning for Friday, June 19th 2020 at Collège du Léman. We will confirm this date shortly with further details so that those who want to join us for the anniversary reunion can confirm travel arrangements.

Finally, we are very excited to soon be launching a new Alumni platform in the coming months. Joining this platform will ensure that you will always be connected with the CDL Alumni family across the globe and that you will receive ongoing updates regarding CDL Alumni events, news and have the possibility to access job postings, a mentoring function and to simply stay in touch with your friends and classmates from CDL. This new platform will allow you to also share your memories with others as you look back on your time at CDL.
