Our little chefs donned their pizzaiolo aprons this week for the first session of their extra-curricular Cookery Club!

After browsing a book about how faces seem to appear in the environment, our students were inspired to use all kinds of healthy ingredients to design faces on some scrumptious pizzas.

Our students had a fantastic time at the Wonders of Asia cultural festival and bazaar held at the World Intellectual Property Organization and organised by the AAWAG - Asian Ambassadors’ Wives Association Geneva.

Touring the incredible array of stands, they were able to discover the vast cultural heritage of the region. In addition to tasting some delicious national dishes, they were able to observe the precious artistry that goes into crafting jewellery, clothes and metalwork from various parts of Asia, and watch the vibrant musical and dance performances on show.

A truly memorable experience and a spectacular celebration of culture and unity.

Starting today, we are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our class of 2026 graduates!

Many congratulations to Adwitaa for her outstanding A Level results and on securing her place at the University of St Andrews, where she will continue her studies in Economics.

Adwitaa’s academic journey reflects her exceptional curiosity, determination and commitment to learning. Her passion for Economics has taken her well beyond the classroom, from completing an Economics MOOC to gaining valuable experience through internships with manufacturing companies and a policy think-tank.

Adwitaa’s achievements extend far beyond academics: she demonstrated impressive leadership in organising school events, volunteered to teach English to refugees, and gave her time to support events at the India at UN (Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, Geneva). Adwitaa is also a talented dancer, choreographing and performing at cultural festivals.

Congratulations, Adwitaa! We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you!

Yesterday, our Primary pupils came together for their first assembly of the new school year, with a very fitting theme: “New Beginnings.”

Together, they talked about what’s new at school this year, from new faces and experiences to new opportunities to learn and grow, including the process to join the Student Council.

The assembly was also a chance to revisit our school rules and behavioural expectations, helping everyone understand how we can create a positive, respectful and supportive environment where everyone feels that they belong.

A wonderful way to start the year, with a shared sense of excitement, responsibility and community. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Even with Geneva’s heavy storms today, our Reception children have been happily making the most of their outdoor kitchen: working together, experimenting and letting their imaginations run wild.

On the menu? A wonderfully imaginative strawberry and pea soup, prepared with plenty of curiosity, collaboration…and just a touch of lion! 🦁

It’s through these moments of shared discovery that children learn to ask questions, try new things, solve problems together and, most importantly, have fun while they learn.

With our students back in class and our school buzzing with activity, there's no better time to pop round for a visit as part of our upcoming open days for prospective families.

Save the date for our open day happening on Wednesday 16 September, when we will welcome parents and their children for a tour of our campus and the chance to meet our Heads of Section, our students and our teachers. This event will also be a great opportunity to learn about the benefits of the English National Curriculum and how it prepares children and teenagers for further studies both in the UK and in higher education institutions around the world.

It's back to school time at BSG!

What joy to have our students back at school today for what promises to be another great year of learning together. It was inspiring to see the happiness on the children's faces as they reunited with old friends and welcomed our new joiners, who were in school yesterday with their families for a terrific orientation morning.

We’re delighted to introduce Mrs Sophia Hatfield-Giraux as the new Principal of British School of Geneva.

Sophia joined BSG in 2025 as Head of Sixth Form and quickly become a valued member of the senior leadership team, making a significant contribution to the teaching and learning strategy. A passionate educator and firm believer that everyone has something exceptional in them, Sophia is looking forward to leading BSG into its next chapter, with a vision to consolidate our reputation as a school where Belonging Sparks Growth.
