Last week, Eleonore swapped the classroom for the silver screen with a visit to Chaplin's World! 🎩🎬

She survived a trip to the barber, narrowly escaped prison, found herself on stage, squeezed through giant clockwork, and even stopped for a chat with the man himself. 😅

If you're looking for a family day out near Verbier, this is well worth the trip.

Located between Montreux and Lausanne, Chaplin's World brings the life and films of one of cinema's greatest legends to life through interactive sets, costumes and plenty of opportunities to become part of the story yourself.

Whether you're introducing the kids to Charlie Chaplin for the first time or you're already a fan of silent films, it's one of those places where everyone ends up smiling.

📚🇪🇸 A day in my life… in Spanish!

Our young Spanish learners put their vocabulary into practice by creating their own "Mi rutina diaria" comics.

From 'me despierto' and 'me desayuno' to 'voy a la escuela', 'hago los deberes' and 'me duermo', each student illustrated their daily routine using pictures and simple sentences in Spanish. It's a fantastic way to reinforce new vocabulary while encouraging creativity and confidence in writing.

We love projects like this because they show that learning a language is about much more than memorising words. By drawing, writing and sharing their stories, our students are building the confidence to communicate in a fun and meaningful way.

We're so proud of their imagination, effort and progress - '¡Muy bien a todos!' 🌟

🚨 Our French evening classes are back! 🇫🇷

Do you want to improve your French in a friendly, relaxed environment?

Our popular evening classes in Sembrancher and Le Châble are returning for the new academic year.

PLEASE NOTE: These classes are subsidised by the commune and are therefore only available to holders of an L, B or C permit.

🍎 Lunchtime Language Clubs – Would this be useful? 🇬🇧 🇫🇷

We're exploring the idea of lunchtime English and French clubs for 4 to 6-year-olds, and we'd love to know if there's enough interest.

📍 Children could come straight from school to Place Centrale during their lunch break (between 11:30 and 13:00). We'll meet them off the bus for the first few sessions and, once they know where to go, they'll be able to walk straight to our school on their own.

🕛 Approx. 11:45–12:45

🥪 Children can bring their own picnic lunch, and we'd make lunchtime fun with different themed activities throughout the week...and, of course, lots of French or English through play!

At this stage, we're simply seeing whether there's enough interest before putting plans in place.

🍎 Clubs de langues à l'heure du déjeuner – Cela vous intéresserait-il ? 🇬🇧🇫🇷

Nous réfléchissons à la création de clubs d'anglais et de français pendant la pause déjeuner pour les enfants de 4 à 6 ans, et nous aimerions savoir si cette idée intéresserait suffisamment de familles.

📍 Les enfants pourraient venir directement de l'école à la Place Centrale pendant leur pause déjeuner (entre 11h30 et 13h00). Nous les accueillerons à leur descente du bus lors des premières séances et, une fois qu'ils connaîtront le trajet, ils pourront venir à pied jusqu'à notre école en toute autonomie.

🕛 Environ 11h45–12h45

🥪 Les enfants pourront apporter leur propre pique-nique, et nous rendrons la pause déjeuner amusante avec différentes activités à thème tout au long de la semaine, par exemple…et bien sûr, beaucoup d'anglais ou de français à travers le jeu !

Pour le moment, nous souhaitons simplement savoir s'il y a suffisamment d'intérêt avant de mettre ce projet en place.

🧀 Last weekend was a cheesy one... in the best possible way! 😄

When two British guys decide to organise a raclette evening at La Ferme du Soleil in Médières, what could possibly go wrong?

As it turns out... absolutely nothing.

Andy and Wayne invited friends, teachers and neighbours from Médières and Verbier to get together over melted cheese, a few drinks and plenty of laughter... simply because they wanted to bring people together.

No special occasion.
No big agenda.

It was one of those days that reminded us how lucky we are to live in the mountains, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and incredible local cheese. 🧀❤️

Our Le Châble B2 French language class is starting again soon!

📅 Every Tuesday, starting 25th August 2026
🕖 19:00–20:00

We focus on developing fluency, expanding vocabulary and grammar, improving confidence, and discussing a wide range of real-life topics - all in French.

The course is divided into two blocks:
📚 August – December: 15 sessions
📚 January – June: 22 sessions

Whether you're learning French for work, everyday life in Switzerland, or simply because you enjoy the language, this class is a great way to continue progressing while meeting other motivated learners.
