On Tuesday we kicked off the semester with our first Starter Debate.
We were thrilled to see so many new faces joining us!
Taking on the question of Greenland’s sovereignty, our delegates stepped into the roles of their respective countries, defended national interests, formed alliances and negotiated their way through the evening.
From opening statements to increasingly lively discussions, it didn’t take long for everyone to get into character and experience what MUN is all about: diplomacy, debate, negotiation and fun!
Most importantly, our Starter Debate is all about giving newcomers the chance to try MUN in a relaxed setting, and we loved seeing so many first-time delegates speak up, challenge one another and embrace their roles.
And, of course, diplomacy continued after the session: we wrapped up the evening at AdHoc with some well-earned b**rs🍻
