Summer Workshop / Atelier d'été
We arrange a summer workshop during the first week after the end of the school year, that is from 4 to 8 July 2022. The schedule is from 8 am to 4 pm. The planned activities are shown on the poster below.
Nous organisons un atelier d'été durant la première semaine après la fin de l'année scolaire, soit du 4 au 8 juillet 2022. L'horaire est de 8h à 16h. Les activités prévues sont présentées sur l'affiche ci-dessous.

As part of our theme on life cycles, we study the life cycle of plants.

As Maria Montessori said, "Nothing should be given to the brain that is not first given to the hand". We embrace hands-on learning in our Montessori classrooms. We use every opportunity to make learning practical.

Teaching preschoolers the sequencing process of seed germination is great for developing their logical thinking. Along with that, they pick up new vocabulary: germination, seed, roots, shoot, seedling.
To observe seed germination and to create a hands-on science experience, we gathered various types of seeds: beans, corn, herbs, and flower bulbs. We planted them using different methods to make it more engaging, which also allowed the child to make comparisons, observe, and learn to pay attention to details.
