🌿 K.I.N.D. Friday at Monte Brè! 🥾⛰️

What better way to conclude our first week back than by stepping outside and embracing Discovery?

Yesterday, our students headed to Monte Brè for a day of hiking, outdoor activities, teamwork and plenty of fun. From taking on the trails to enjoying the incredible views, it was the perfect opportunity to connect, challenge ourselves and celebrate the end of a fantastic first week together.

A wonderful way to put our K.I.N.D. Framework into action; Kindness, Innovation, Navigation and Discovery, beyond the classroom. 💚

🍂 Learning, creating and connecting beyond the classroom! 🌿

Our students took their learning outdoors, working together to create this beautiful nature-inspired piece using stones, leaves and other natural materials. A wonderful example of creativity, collaboration and discovery; all while enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. 💚

At ISSwitzerland, learning isn’t confined to four walls. Sometimes the best classroom is nature itself! 🌍✨

📚 Throwback to Learning in Action! 🎭⚖️

Last school year, our Grade 10 students brought To Kill a Mockingbird to life through a thought-provoking Socratic Seminar.

Stepping beyond simply reading the novel, students took on different sides of the case, building arguments, challenging perspectives, questioning evidence and defending their conclusions. Their ultimate challenge? Deciding who was truly guilty.

It was a powerful example of learning that goes beyond the classroom; developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration and the confidence to engage with complex ideas.

And with a rather unexpected participant joining the discussion, the seminar certainly made for a memorable lesson! 🦍📖

What a colourful, creative and fun-filled Summer Art Camp! 🎨✨ Our students spent the week exploring their imagination, experimenting with different techniques, and creating amazing artwork; all while making new friends and having lots of fun along the way. 💛

A huge well done to our young artists for their creativity, enthusiasm and endless inspiration! We can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them next. 🌈🎨
