Digital Fashion Communication is the intersection of fashion and information & communication technologies (ICTs). The programme started in September 2018.

Intake: September 20 The MSc in Digital Fashion Communication, is a Double Master Degree offered by USI-Universita' della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland) and U

niversité Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris, France), which prepares select students to pursue their careers in the fashion industry as specialists in digital communication. It is the aspect of communication sciences that studies how fashion is communicated in the digital or online environment, in connection with the traditional – and still highly relevant – offline media channels. So far we had 170+ students coming from 30+ countries.

Professor Lorenzo Cantoni, today met with members of the HUGO BOSS Omnichannel Management Office to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Among the participants was USI alumna Anett, a graduate of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication who currently works as an Omnichannel Manager.

We thank Anett Lorincz, Laura Kristin Klaus, Felix Lück, Miriam Bartsch and Lucy Chandhial for their time and the engaging conversation. We look forward to staying connected!

Headquartered in Metzingen, Germany, HUGO BOSS also has an important presence in Ticino through its office in Coldrerio. The company has been a member of the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center since December 2024.

A look back at our first DFC Master’s Reunion, held last Friday at USI University, in collaboration with the team!

From inspiring reflections on 8 years of the program to alumni career stories, industry insights from ASSOS of Switzerland, and an evening of networking at the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center, it was fantastic to reconnect with our community.

Yesterday our Digital Fashion Communication research team, Professor Cantoni and PhD Candidates Charlotte Stachel and Francesca Manna took place at LTCC’s Heritage event “Transforming Company Archive into Strategic Value”.

The event included speeches from:
📚Roberto Badaracco – Vice Mayor of the City of Lugano
📚Heinz Zeller – Vice President of LTCC & Principal Sustainability at Hugo Boss
📚Lorenzo Osti – President of C.P. Company
📚Professor Lorenzo Cantoni – Director of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication at USI, Università della Svizzera italiana and President of the LTCC Scientific Committee
📚Stefano Righetti – CEO of Hyphen-Group

During Professor Cantoni’s speech he shared points from Charlotte Stachel’s PhD research focused on digital archives of fashion companies!
