The LiLi Centre has always been more than a building — it’s a living community. And that community exists because of volunteers who choose, again and again, to give their time so others can feel at home.

Some of you greet newcomers at the door. Some of you run programmes that change lives. Some of you work quietly behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly. All of you make a difference.

Your commitment has carried the Centre through challenges, growth, and transformation. You’ve helped build a space where people find belonging, support, and connection. A space that reflects the best of Lucerne’s spirit.

Part TWO: Ten years of the Lili Centre would not have been possible without the incredible people who have dedicated not only their professional skills, but also their hearts to our shared purpose.

From the very beginning, this journey has been built by those who believed—and continue to believe—in the idea of a community centre where people can find support, connection, and guidance on their integration journey.

Over the years, we have become more than colleagues. We have built lasting friendships and grown into a family that stands by one another through challenges, laughter, tears, loss, and moments of growth. Together, we have created a place where kindness, compassion, and community make a real difference.

As we still celebrate our 10th anniversary, our hearts are full of gratitude for every person who has been part of this journey.

PART one! It is never too late to share joy and happiness.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Lili Centre was a truly special moment, made even more meaningful by sharing it with our incredible partners, collaborators, and community members.

What started as a dream—to support international residents in Luzern as they began their new lives in Switzerland—has grown into a cornerstone of the integration journey for so many people across Central Switzerland.

Over the past decade, the Lili Centre has become much more than an information hub. It is a place where people build connections, find support, create lasting networks, and gain the practical tools they need to navigate everyday life, understand new systems, and embrace the adventure of living far from home.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here's to 10 years of empowering, connecting, and welcoming our international community—and to many more to come! 🎉❤️

Born in Romania and now based in Switzerland, I am an artist, maker, and workshop host passionate about creativity, slow living, and meaningful human connection. Through ceramics, sourdough baking, drawing, and hands-on artistic practices, I create experiences that invite people to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and rediscover the joy of making something with their own hands.

With a background in Graphic Design, Stage & Costume Design, Photography, and Ceramics, my work combines visual storytelling with tactile exploration. Over the years, I have developed workshops that focus not only on learning a skill, but also on creating space for curiosity, experimentation, and presence.

The Tripsche Zytig published a beautiful article about the LiLi Centre, and it’s deeply meaningful to see our mission recognised. What touched me most was their focus on the values that have carried us through a decade of community work: we listen, we adapt, we grow, and we repeat. This rhythm is at the heart of our approach. To offer genuine support, we must first understand people’s needs, then evolve our programmes so we can grow with them — never assuming that one solution fits everyone. That humility and responsiveness are what make the Centre what it is.
