🎯 We are delighted to welcome Rachael Roberts as a keynote speaker at the 7th English for Healthcare international conference on 12th September in Kraków.

ROS: What are you hoping the audience will take away from your session?
“I hope they will leave seeing English for healthcare not as a small specialist corner of ELT, but as a field that may have a lot to teach the rest of the profession about where language teaching is heading.”

🎯 We are delighted to welcome Dr. Andy Ward as a keynote speaker at the 7th English for Healthcare international conference on 11th September in Kraków.

Ros Wright interviewed Andy about his professional background and a message he wants to pass on to the participants at the conference.

ROS: What are you hoping the audience will take away from your session?

ANDY: “That empathy isn’t just good for patients, it’s good for healthcare professionals too. It’s also not about learning a set of phrases or following a communication checklist. You have to be genuinely interested in the person sitting opposite you. For me, curiosity is a big part of that. The more curious we are, the less likely we are to make assumptions, and the more likely we are to understand what’s really going on.”
