Some athletes leave behind numbers. Others leave behind habits..hmle leaves behind a cup, a red pineapple marker, the occasional forgotten piece of equipment, and the certainty that 9:00 AM is, in fact, too early.
As a member of the Swiss national team, he always approached training with the professionalism needed to compete at the highest level. But it was the little things that made him unmistakably him: The clear whey shake nobody else voluntarily drank, the cup that became part of his identity, the unwavering belief that mobility was his greatest weapon, and the nickname The Diesel — because once the engine was running, there was no stopping him.
Behind those routines was an athlete who showed up, trusted the process, and quietly put in the work. Watching him develop over the past two years has been a privilege, and seeing him earn the opportunity to play for is a well-deserved next step.
The gym will feel a little different without him. Slightly quieter. Definitely without that red pineapple marker.
Thank you for two great years. All the best in Sweden. 🇨🇭🇸🇪
