【サマーアブロードプログラム】１２年生で規定の条件を満たした生徒は夏休み（６月）とターム１を利用して、米国、英国、カナダ等の大学の夏期プログラムに参加することができます。大学生活を体験できると同時に、世界各地から集まった高校生と知り合うこともできます。

[Summer Abroad Program] Students in Grade 12 who meet the specified requirements can participate in summer programs at universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other countries during the summer break (June) and Term 1. This program allows students to experience university life and meet high school students from all over the world.

【１０年生キャンプ】ショートブレーク中、１０年生は、ヴェルビエのスキー場の一角にあるラ・ツマという場所で、アウトドア活動を中心とした３日間のキャンプに参加し、新しい友達との交流を深めることができました。

[10th Grade Camp] During their short break, the 10th graders participated in a three-day camp focused on outdoor activities at La Tzoumaz, located in a corner of the Verbier ski resort, where they were able to deepen their friendships with new friends.

【オプショナル・ローマ旅行】ターム１とターム２の間にある１週間のショートブレイク中に、希望した生徒たちがローマ旅行に参加しました。ローマの歴史、イタリアの文化と食を満喫した旅行となりました。

[Optional Rome Trip] During the one-week short break between Term 1 and Term 2, students who wished to participate took part in a trip to Rome. It was a trip where they fully enjoyed Rome's history, Italian culture, and cuisine!

【オプショナルエクスカージョン】１１年生、１２年生、そして訪問生の希望者は、毎週週末にオプショナルエクスカージョンに参加しました。スイスの首都ベルン、イタリアのアオスタ、フランスのアナシー、そしてドイツにあるヨーロッパパークを訪問し、友達と楽しい一時を過ごすことができました。

[Optional Excursions] Students in 11th and 12th grade, as well as visiting students who wished to participate, took part in optional excursions every weekend. They visited Bern, the capital of Switzerland; Aosta in Italy, Annecy in France and Europa-Park in Germany. They had a wonderful time with their friends!

【日食観測】レマン湖を望むことができるプラファンダから日食を見ることができました。ヨーロッパ本土では２７年ぶりとのことですが、スイスからは約９０パーセントの日食となりました。ターム１も終了に近づいていますが、忘れられない思い出となったことでしょう。

[Solar Eclipse Observation] We were able to see the solar eclipse from Prafandaz, which overlooks Lake Geneva. It has been 27 years since a solar eclipse had been seen from mainland Europe. From Switzerland, we could see about 90 percent of it. With Term 1 drawing to a close, this will surely be an unforgettable memory!

【エッグドロップチャレンジ】SILの生徒たちは、チームにわかれ高い場所から生卵を落としても割れないような保護装置（プロテクター）を限られた材料で作るという課題に挑戦しました。意見を出し合いながら、試行錯誤を重ねた生徒たちは、創造力や協力する力を養うことができました。

[Egg Drop Challenge] SIL students were divided into teams and challenged to create a protective device (protector) using limited materials that would prevent a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a high place. Through brainstorming and trial and error, the students were able to cultivate their creativity and teamwork skills.

【Ca***erチョコレート工場見学+グリエール城見学】生徒たちに人気のチョコレート工場見学。チョコレートが溶けてしまいそうな暑さでしたが、生徒たちは工場見学とチョコレートの試食を楽しみました。その後、１３世紀に建設されたグリエール城を見学しました。

[Ca***er Chocolate Factory Tour + Gruyère Castle Tour] The chocolate factory tour was a popular choice among the students! Despite the scorching heat that seemed to melt the chocolate, the students enjoyed the factory tour and chocolate tasting. Afterwards, they visited Gruyère Castle, which was built in the 13th century.

【スイス建国記念日マラソン大会】８月１日にレザンで行われたマラソン大会の１１.2キロレースに本校から１３名の生徒と３名の教職員が参加しました。また、数名の生徒はボランティアとしてランナーの誘導を手伝いました。暑さの中のレースでしたが、全員無事に完走し、男子ジュニアの部では２位、3位、女子ジュニアの部では1位、2位に入賞しました。おめでとう！

[Swiss National Day Marathon] On August 1st, 13 students and 3 faculty members from our school participated in the 11.2km marathon held in Leysin. Several students also volunteered to help guide the runners. Despite the heat, everyone completed the race safely, and our students placed 2nd and 3rd in the boys' junior division, and 1st and 2nd in the girls' junior division. Congratulations!

【サンライズハイク】希望者の生徒たちは、先週日曜日の朝３時に起床し、地元の山バルヌースの頂上へ約２時間かけて登り、美しい日の出を見ることができました。この思い出は一生の宝物になったことでしょう。

[Sunrise Hike] Students who wished to participate woke up at 3 a.m. last Sunday and climbed to the summit of the local mountain, Berneuse, a journey of about two hours, where they were able to witness a beautiful sunrise. This memory will surely be a lifelong treasure!
