FIH President Tayyab Ikram expressed his condolences, and those of hockey’s global community, following the passing of Rana Asif:
“Through his vision, passion, and tireless dedication, Rana Asif, widely known as the Father of Cambodian hockey, played a pivotal role in introducing and developing hockey in the country.
A coach, manager, administrator, and mentor, Rana Asif devoted his life to the growth of the sport, always striving to create new opportunities for future generations.
His contributions leave a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire players, coaches, and administrators throughout Cambodia, Asia, and beyond.
In my personal capacity and on behalf of hockey’s global community, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the Cambodian hockey community.”
