This month, we are delighted to spotlight our alumnus Xavier Fischer! 🎓

A 2010 graduate of the Swiss Maturity (scientific track), Xavier is now an Art Advisor based in Zurich and the founder of Fischer Art Advisory, specialising in Modern, Post-War and Contemporary art. 🎨

But his journey began in the classrooms of Champittet, where a French lesson on Marcel Duchamp and Dadaism sparked a lasting passion for art—one that would ultimately shape his career.

Xavier fondly remembers the strong friendships built at school—many of which are still part of his life today—as well as unforgettable moments like a study trip to Zakynthos, filled with learning, laughter, and a touch of chaos.

💬 “Champittet taught me to stay curious, to question things, and to carve my own path, even if it leads somewhere unconventional.”

Today, he brings that same curiosity and independent mindset to his work, advising collectors and institutions in building meaningful art collections.

💬 His advice for students: “Stay curious, explore freely, and don’t be afraid to choose a path that’s different from others.”

Final week of school in the Boarding House… a mix of emotions, exam focus, and excitement in the air. 🎓📚

These past weeks in boarding have been full of unforgettable moments; from a vibrant Azerbaijani evening (Azərbaycana xoş gəlmisiniz! 🇦🇿) with music, dance and delicious food, to weekends rich in adventure and discovery, including skydiving and cultural trips to Bern, Sion, and the stunning underground lake of St-Léonard. 🌍✨

A special highlight was celebrating our Year 14 boarders on May 22, a warm, intimate moment before graduation, filled with pride and memories.

As they begin their next chapter, one thing remains: you will always have a home at Champittet Boarding House. 💙

Nos élèves de 2e primaire ont suivi avec enthousiasme l’évolution de leur propre récolte lors de plusieurs visites à la ferme de Ropraz 🌱

Après avoir planté différentes cultures au mois de mai, ils reviendront en septembre pour récolter ce qu’ils ont eux-mêmes semé 👩‍🌾

Une expérience immersive qui leur permet de se rapprocher de la nature, de mieux comprendre l’origine de leur alimentation et de découvrir les besoins essentiels des plantes pour grandir 🌿

Une belle illustration de l’importance que notre école accorde à l’apprentissage par l’expérience et en lien avec la nature 💚

Fin mai, nos élèves de 11ème à 13ème en section maturité suisse ont rencontré les résidents de l’EMS La Rozavère pour recueillir leurs témoignages de vie ✍🏻

Accompagnés par l’écrivain Adrien Gygax, ces récits prendront bientôt la forme de recueils imprimés, qui seront présentés lors d’une lecture publique au festival Le livre sur les quais, le vendredi 4 septembre, en présence des résidents.

Saison culturelle de Champittet – Dernier concert ✨🎶

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer que, pour son dernier concert de la saison, la Saison culturelle de Champittet accueillera à nouveau, le 20 juin prochain, l’extraordinaire mezzo-soprano franco-italienne Lea Desandre. 🌟

Après avoir enthousiasmé notre public en mars 2025, elle revient sur notre scène, cette fois accompagnée de l’ensemble baroque Jupiter et de son chef Thomas Dunford, pour un programme magnifique consacré à G. F. Händel : « Eternal Heaven ». 🎼

Du 18 au 22 mai, nos élèves de 3ème ont célébré la Journée mondiale des abeilles toute la semaine 🐝

Au programme : dégustations de produits issus des abeilles, visites de notre ruche, découverte d’une plantation de fleurs qui contribue à leur protection et une rencontre passionnante avec l’apiculteur de l’école, Cédric.

Une semaine riche en découvertes pour mieux comprendre l’importance de préserver ces précieuses pollinisatrices 🌸

Bike to School Day ✨🛴

On Wednesday morning, we were delighted to see so many members of our school community—primary students, older students, and staff—arriving by bicycle or scooter! 🌿💛

This wonderful initiative promotes sustainable and responsible travel habits while helping our students develop awareness of environmental issues and the importance of taking concrete action. Every effort counts! 🌍

As part of this special “Bike to School” day our parents’ association (APEC) hosted fun workshops for our preschool and Grade 1 students. With their great organization and enthusiastic support, the children had a joyful, safe, and engaging experience. 🙌

And there’s more! Thanks to APEC, every kilometer travelled will be converted into a donation to our Sustainability Club, supporting even more eco-friendly initiatives within our school community. 💚

The children were also especially proud to leave with their brand-new bicycle bells! 🔔😊

Some of our primary students had the chance to travel to Dublin for the STEAM Festival last week. ✈️🇮🇪

The two highlights of the festival were visits to Dream Space at Microsoft’s Dublin HQ and to Explorium, the National Sport & Science Centre.

They experienced immersive STEAM learning and explored hands-on exhibits that brought science to life. A city scavenger hunt was also organised, giving students the opportunity to discover Dublin and its emblematic monuments in a fun and engaging way.

An inspiring and unforgettable journey filled with innovation, exploration, and excitement for the future! ✨
