This week, AELO Swiss Academy had the pleasure of welcoming Andy O’Shea, CEO of and former Head of Training at Ryanair for 18 years, for an exclusive Airline Recruitment Coaching session with our students.

Drawing on decades of airline recruitment and training experience, Andy shared practical insights into airline interviews, simulator assessments, competency-based selection, and what airlines are really looking for in future pilots.

At AELO and Amris Aviation, we believe becoming an airline pilot is about more than earning your licence, it’s about being fully prepared for your first airline opportunity.

Training at AELO took to the skies ✈️ Two Tecnam P2008 flights to Venice, with views over the Swiss Alps and formation flying across the Italian countryside 🇮🇹

A short stop to enjoy the canals before heading back.

Our newest Tecnam P2008 has officially joined the AELO fleet in Locarno ✈️

The delivery flight to the Tecnam factory in Naples was carried out by instructors Federico and Alessandro, together with students Malo and Charlie, who then brought the aircraft back across multiple countries to Locarno.

More than just a delivery, this flight was a true training experience, giving students the opportunity to take part in real operational planning and navigation, while gaining valuable insight into how aircraft deliveries are conducted
