Hello fellow IO-MBAs,
With the transition of the IO-MBA program in 2020 into the EMBA by the Geneva School of Economics (GSEM) within the University of Geneva (UNIGE), and with the associated reduction in activities relating to IO-MBA, the Alumni Association Executive Committee (EC) has been dormant for the past years. In recent months the last members of the EC have begun to meet to discuss the closure of the IO-MBA Alumni Association as a legal association under the Swiss Civil Code.
It is recommended by the IO-MBA Alumni Association Executive Committee to hold a Special General Assembly at 18:00 on Thursday, April 27, 2023. This email is informing the membership of this scheduled meeting two months in advance in line with article 8.2 of the IO-MBA Alumni Association Statutes. We will provide a list of motions for review, an agenda, and a remote link to access the meeting in a future email -- as this social media group is not secure, please check your iomba.ch email for details or email [email protected] and we provide the meeting details to you.
This meeting will deal with the business of closing the association as a legal association and will provide additional information for the Alumni community going forward about the remaining social media accounts.
Please keep an eye out for the future emails relating to this Special General Assembly and we will strive to answer questions you may have -- understanding that this email account isn't monitored often at this time.
