To round off his holiday, Leo, the mascot of the Institut International de Lancy, set off to explore new destinations.
He criss-crossed Sri Lanka by tuk-tuk before continuing his journey to India. Then it was off to Barcelona and Brussels, with a quick stop-off in Croatia!
To end his holiday in style, Leo headed for the United States, where he visited the canyons. He then travelled to Kentucky and had a brilliant time.
After all these adventures, he travelled to Château-d’Oex in Switzerland before heading back to school. Leo was reunited with his classmates, ready to share his incredible travel memories with them.

Pour la suite de ses vacances, Leo, la mascotte de l’Institut International de Lancy, est parti à la découverte de nouvelles destinations.
Il a sillonné le Sri Lanka en tuk-tuk, avant de poursuivre son voyage en Inde. Puis direction Barcelone et Bruxelles, avec une petite escale en Croatie !
Pour terminer ses vacances en beauté, Leo a mis le cap sur les Etats-Unis où il a visité les canyons ensuite, il s’est rendu au Kentucky et s’est beaucoup amusé.
Après toutes ces aventures, il a voyagé en Suisse, à Château-d’Oex, avant de reprendre le chemin de l’école. Leo a retrouvé ses camarades, prêt à partager avec eux les souvenirs de ses incroyables voyages.

Au mois de juin, les élèves de l’Institut International de Lancy participant au Prix International du Duc d’Edimbourg dans la catégorie or se sont lancés dans une belle aventure à vélo le long du Rhône.
Leur défi : parcourir entre 35 et 40 km de vélo par jour, à travers les cantons du Valais, de Vaud et de Genève. Le tout, préparé et organisé par les élèves eux-mêmes, puisque ce sont eux qui ont élaboré les itinéraires.
Une expérience riche en autonomie, persévérance, esprit d’équipe et dépassement de soi, qui leur a permis de sortir de leur zone de confort tout en partageant de beaux moments ensemble.
Bravo à tous nos élèves !

In June, pupils from the Institut International de Lancy taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at Gold level embarked on a wonderful cycling adventure along the Rhône.
Their challenge: to cycle between 35 and 40 km a day through the cantons of Valais, Vaud and Geneva. The entire trip was planned and organised by the pupils themselves, including planning the routes.
It was an experience that fostered independence, perseverance, team spirit and a drive to push their limits, allowing them to step outside their comfort zones while sharing wonderful moments together.
Well done to all our pupils!

Après plusieurs semaines de vacances, l’effervescence est de retour sur notre campus ! Ce matin, les derniers élèves du secondaire ont fait leur rentrée à l’Institut International de Lancy et ont retrouvé leurs camarades ainsi que leurs enseignants.
Pour bien commencer cette nouvelle année scolaire, une assemblée de rentrée a été organisée afin de leur présenter les grandes étapes, les projets et les temps forts qui rythmeront cette année.
Nous sommes ravis de vous retrouver et vous souhaitons à toutes et à tous une excellente rentrée, pleine de belles réussites !

After several weeks of summer holidays, the campus is buzzing with excitement once again! This morning, the last of our secondary school pupils returned to the Institut International de Lancy and were reunited with their classmates and teachers.
To get the new school year off to a good start, a back-to-school assembly was held to present the key milestones, projects and highlights that will shape the year ahead.
We are delighted to see you all again and wish you all a wonderful start to the new school year, full of great achievements!

The 2026–2027 school year is under way!
Since this morning, pupils have been returning to the Institut International de Lancy. Our teachers are delighted to be back in their classrooms, reunited with their pupils and enjoying the wonderful energy that fills the school on the first day back.
Catching up with friends, attending the first lessons and playing in the playground… After a few weeks of holiday, our buildings are bustling with life once again!
A new year is beginning, full of discoveries, exciting projects and wonderful moments to share.
We wish everyone a fantastic start to the new school year!

C’est parti pour l’année scolaire 2026-2027 !
Depuis ce matin, les élèves sont de retour à l’Institut International de Lancy. Les enseignants sont heureux de retrouver leurs classes, leurs élèves et cette belle énergie qui anime l’école en ce jour de rentrée.
Retrouvailles entre amis, premiers cours, jeux dans la cour de récréation… Après quelques semaines de vacances, la vie reprend dans nos bâtiments !
Une nouvelle année commence, pleine de découvertes, de projets et de beaux moments à partager.

Ce matin, l’Institut International de Lancy a accueilli ses nouvelles familles pour une pré-rentrée en douceur.
Parents et enfants ont pu découvrir leur future salle de classe, rencontrer leurs enseignants et faire leurs premiers pas dans leur nouvel environnement scolaire.
Les directeurs étaient également présents pour échanger avec eux et leur présenter l’école. La matinée s’est poursuivie dans une ambiance conviviale autour de croissants et d’autres douceurs, l’occasion de faire plus ample connaissance et de commencer à créer de nouveaux liens.
Leo a même fait une petite apparition pour saluer les nouveaux élèves.
Un beau moment de partage qui permet à chacun d’aborder la rentrée avec sérénité et enthousiasme.
Bienvenue à toutes nos nouvelles familles !

This morning, the Institut International de Lancy welcomed its new families for a relaxed pre-term welcome.
Parents and children were able to discover their future classrooms, meet their teachers and take their first steps in their new school environment.
The headteachers were also there to meet with the families and introduce them to the school. The morning continued in a friendly atmosphere over croissants and other treats, providing an opportunity to get to know one another better and start building new connections.
Leo even made a brief appearance to greet the new pupils.
It was a lovely moment together, allowing everyone to approach the start of the new term with confidence and enthusiasm.

During the June 2026 Cambridge exam session, 85 of our students in Year 11 and Seconde sat IGCSE and A-Level Exams. After several weeks of waiting, the results are in! Of the 685 exam results, 53 per cent were A*–A, and 93 per cent were A*–C. Two of our students achieved straight A*’s, while 12 finished with nothing below an A. In AS French Language & Literature, 86 per cent of grades were A*–A. The pass rate for pupils at our school was an outstanding 99.4 per cent. We’re very proud of all of our students for their great achievements and excellent results.

Lors de la session d’examens de Cambridge de juin 2026, 85 de nos élèves de Year 11 et de seconde ont passé les examens de l’IGCSE et des A-Levels. Après plusieurs semaines d’attente, les résultats sont enfin tombés ! Sur les 685 résultats d’examens, 53 % se situaient entre A* et A, et 93 % entre A* et C. Deux de nos élèves ont obtenu uniquement des A*, tandis que 12 d’entre eux n’ont obtenu aucune note inférieure à A. En AS de langue et littérature françaises, 86 % des notes se situaient entre A* et A. Le taux de réussite des élèves de notre établissement a atteint le chiffre exceptionnel de 99,4 %. Nous sommes très fiers de tous nos élèves pour leurs belles réussites et leurs excellents résultats.

Les enseignants sont de retour à l’Institut International de Lancy !
Depuis hier, nos professeurs préparent leurs classes et participent à des formations afin d’être prêts à accueillir les élèves pour cette nouvelle rentrée.
Cette semaine, la direction a également eu le plaisir d’accueillir les nouveaux collaborateurs. Tout le corps enseignant s’est retrouvé autour d’un petit-déjeuner convivial, l’occasion de retrouver leurs collègues et de faire connaissance avec les nouveaux membres de l’équipe.
Une belle façon d’entamer cette nouvelle année scolaire !

Teachers are back at the Institut International de Lancy!
Since yesterday, our teachers have been preparing their lessons and taking part in training sessions to ensure they are ready to welcome pupils for the start of the new term.
This week, the management team also had the pleasure of welcoming new staff members. The entire teaching staff gathered for a friendly breakfast, providing an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and get to know the new members of the team.
What a lovely way to start the new school year!

The annual uniform sales at the Institut International de Lancy starts this Friday! From 21 to 26 August, the IIL Shop will be open for the uniform sale:
8 am – 12 pm 1 pm – 4.45 pm
The whole IIL Shop team is ready to welcome you. You can also collect any items you have ordered online.
From 27 August, normal opening hours will resume:
- Monday: 3.30 pm – 5 pm
- Tuesday: 7.45 am – 8.30 am
- Wednesday: 11.30 am – 12.45 pm
- Thursday: 7.45 am – 8.30 am
- Friday: 3.30 pm – 4.45 pm

A quoi ressemblait l’Institut International de Lancy dans les années 90… et avant ?
Forte de plus de 120 années d’histoire, notre école n’a cessé d’évoluer, de se réinventer et de s’adapter au fil des générations d’élèves qui ont contribué à façonner son histoire.
Aujourd’hui, IIL accueille plus de 1500 élèves répartis sur quatre bâtiments. Mais il n’y a pas si longtemps, notre école était bien différente…
