The 2nd API in DTM’s API product series is available!

Complimenting DTM’s 2024 IDP Baseline API, it includes 2022-2025 analysis-ready, household-level MSNA data from Sudan, South Sudan, Mozambique and Nigeria, tabulated to United Nations OCHA referenced Admin 2 levels.

It covers 𝟱𝟬+ 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 across 9 thematic groups, including food security, coping strategies, shelter, health and sanitation. It provides insight on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees, and non-displaced households priority needs, completed by household demographics and displacement drivers.

The latest DTM Multi-hazard Displacement Projections show heightened flooding risks in Somalia, which may displace over 800,000 individuals before the end of the year.

6 of the 20 districts identified as having higher humanitarian needs are expected to experience significant flooding, with Beletweyne district projected to receive the highest number of IDPs. In Baidoa, heavy rainfall has already damaged homes and displaced families from several neighbourhoods.

Food and shelter items are urgently required for preparedness.

Following Tropical Cyclone Maila, IOM continues to support affected communities in West New Britain, East New Britain, New Ireland, Milne Bay and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea.

Working with the National Disaster Centre and provincial disaster offices, IOM is supporting the government-led response, with a particular focus on hard-to-reach areas, including remote islands yet to receive humanitarian assistance.

IOM's DTM is conducting assessments across affected areas to support response planning, while also contributing to stronger local capacity for emergency data collection and use.

A resurgence of hostilities in the Middle East and beyond in recent weeks is placing pressure on humanitarian access and threatening civilian and essential services. Internal displacement in Yemen and cross-border from Yemen to Djibouti were reported.

The situation remains fragile. DTM continues to monitor movements to support humanitarian response on the ground.
