Hi there and thank you for visiting English With Ashleigh! I’m Ashleigh, a 32-year old native New Yorker living in Geneva since 2015. I am an experienced CELTA-certified English teacher, trained intensively at International House London. During my training as a teacher, I was exposed to various methods of teaching and ways to interact with language learners of all ages, levels and motivations. My

ability to teach a complex subject in a student-centered and intriguing way greatly motivates my students and has been highly complimented by both students and colleagues alike. As a current language learner, I possess empathy and adaptability to students’ needs, paying close attention to the student’s interests, learning styles, needs and goals. I also have the mindset and ability for teaching students effectively, using various resources such as realia, text books, internet-based resources and situational practice.
