Last Minute OAC - Croatia Sailing Training

The seas and oceans captivate us with their power and beauty. Their blue waves are mesmerizing, yet they also conceal a tremendous force that can be dangerous. Often, their seemingly calm surface is deceptive – it takes just a moment of inattention to find yourself in a life-threatening situation. Treacherous currents, unpredictable waves, and shifting weather conditions can quickly turn a carefree sail into a fight for survival. That’s why it’s so crucial for anyone venturing out on the water to always exercise caution and be aware of the risks. Let’s take care of ourselves, our loved ones, and remain vigilant – whether it’s in a peaceful bay or out on the open sea. It’s important to remember that nature follows its own rules, and out on its waters, safety is paramount.

This is a nearly 12-meter boat that our student, Kamil, took control of just two months after completing our course. Last Thursday, during a voyage from Korčula to Brač, Kamil faced a real challenge – navigating through a thunderstorm with lightning, heavy rain, and strong winds. His response? Calmness, composure, and effective navigation in these tough conditions.

"I have to tell you something. On Thursday, while we were sailing from Korčula to Brač, we got caught in the middle of a storm – with lightning, rain, and wind. And I managed it! Thank you for teaching me so much."

Jednym z kluczowych aspektów działalności OAC jest edukacja ekologiczna zarówno obecnych, jak i przyszłych skipperów. Czy zastanawialiście się, czy rzeczywiście konieczne jest generowanie niemal 40 -centymetrowych paragonów przy zakupie jednego produktu? Warto mieć świadomość, jak ogromny wpływ na środowisko ma nadprodukcja druku i zużycie papieru. W dobie cyfryzacji powinniśmy zmierzać w kierunku bardziej zrównoważonych rozwiązań, które minimalizują zbędny ślad ekologiczny.

Biedronka - zachecamy Was jako producenta tych paragonów do przemyślenia możliwości ich skrócenia. Takie działanie znacząco zmniejszyłoby niekorzystny wpływ na środowisko, ograniczając zużycie papieru oraz ilość generowanych odpadów. Wspólnie możemy przyczynić się do bardziej zrównoważonego i odpowiedzialnego podejścia, które jest zgodne z obecnymi standardami ochrony przyrody.
