The iimt has a new director! We would like to welcome Prof. Dr. Stephan Nüesch, who will lead the team starting on the 1st of February 2023.

Nüesch holds a Ph.D. from the University of Zürich, and since 2014 he is the Executive Director of the Chair of Corporate Management at the University of Münster, Germany.

With extensive experience in management education, Nüesch founded a part-time MBA for physicians and healthcare executives in Münster, and is active in various other MBAs, and master’s programs.

In his research, he focuses on the field of strategic technology and innovation management, including a strong interest in the development of digital business models and open innovation.

Prof. Dr. Stephan Nüesch, the entire iimt team is thrilled to have you on board!

The iimt team warmly congratulates the research assistant, Mohammad Aldabbas, for the successful disputation of his Ph.D. thesis!

The public defense occurred this November 22nd at the Université de Fribourg, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Ultes-Nitsche and the supervision of the former iimt Director, Prof. em. Dr. Stephanie Teufel and Prof. Dr. Marino Widmer.

The dissertation “Smart Sovereignty and the Security of Society 5.0. An Explorative Study on the Challenges under the Technological Revolution, with Forecasting the Future” takes an innovative and holistic approach to the security topic. It is concerned with people and the future of society as a whole, which is becoming increasingly reliant on technology.
