For many people Mondays mean pressure.

But building a business isn't about dramatic leaps forward every week.

Most of the time, it's built through small decisions made consistently.

The email you send.
The conversation you have.
The idea you finally act on.
The next step you stop postponing.

That's why Mondays matter.
Not because they're magical.
But because they give us an opportunity to reset, refocus, and begin again.

So if last week didn't go as planned, that's okay.
If you're still figuring things out, that's okay too.

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Take the next step.

🌿 Every Monday is a chance to begin again.

These are old questions, just with a new kind of urgency: who are you, and what is your work worth? In this clip, Susan Platt and Libby O'Loghlin talk about the difference between building fast and building smart, and why the foundation has to be genuinely yours, not borrowed. Libby brings in another piece of it: this isn't something anyone works out alone. The conversations she and Susan had all season, in the studio and out of it, are what shaped what got brought forward.

What happens between the meetings matters too.

The walk to the coffee machine.
The few minutes looking out the window.
The thought you finally have time to finish.
The idea that arrives when you're no longer rushing to the next thing.

We often measure productivity by what happens during the scheduled hours.
But sometimes the most valuable thinking happens in the spaces we've left unscheduled.

🌿 Make room for the pause.
It's often where the good ideas begin.

Picture the assistant you'd really want: organized, reliable, fast, available whenever you need them. Would you still be the one typing every invoice, transcribing every meeting, chasing down every answer yourself? Of course not. You'd hand it off, direct it, and get your time back.

That's the shift this episode of Build Smart with AI is about. Susan Platt makes the case for an intentional, structured relationship with AI, one where you're not doing the mechanical work anymore, you're directing it. Give the tool the task, review what comes back, keep what's useful, and move on to the work only you can do.

Switzerland just introduced a new federal Transparency Register, and if you run a GmbH/Sàrl/Sagl or AG/SA/SA, or a cooperative, this affects you.

Starting 1 October 2026, these entities will need to identify and report their beneficial owners: the people who own or control the company, not just who's listed on paper.

Here's what to know 👇

📅 Pilot phase opens 17 August 2026 : register voluntarily via easygov.swiss
📅 Register goes live 1 October 2026
📅 Initial filing deadlines run January to April 2027, depending on entity type and audit status

Running a sole proprietorship? This one doesn't apply to you, but it's still worth understanding if you're weighing legal structures.

The register isn't public. Access is limited to authorities and financial intermediaries with due diligence obligations. But non-compliance carries real consequences: fines, and in serious cases, criminal sanctions.

Don't wait until the 2027 crunch to work out who needs to be reported. Start identifying your beneficial owners now.

Ambition has never been about how full your calendar is.

You can have big goals and still leave space to think.
You can want more and still slow down.
You can build something meaningful without filling every hour of the day.

The most important work isn't always doing.

Sometimes it's thinking.
Sometimes it's deciding.
Sometimes it's noticing what deserves your energy next.

A full calendar doesn't mean you're moving forward.

Be ambitious.
Just don't confuse busy with progress. 🌿

Ever wonder if your online persona matches the person walking into the room?

Susan Platt shares a simple test for personal brand honesty, and it has nothing to do with perfection or airbrushed photos. It comes down to one question: is this still a photo of you, or has it become a fiction?

This clip is from a conversation with content strategist Libby O'Loghlin on the Compass Podcast, on what it really means to be honest with your personal brand. Are you comfortable with the version of you online, or has it drifted into storytelling?

Every business has a culture. Ours happens to include paws.

Meet our Chief Happiness Officers.

Their responsibilities include:
🐾 Welcoming every visitor
🐾 Supervising coffee breaks
🐾 Encouraging regular stretch breaks
🐾 Testing the comfort of every chair
🐾 Reminding us that the best ideas often arrive when we slow down

They've never once weighed in on strategy. But they're the reason The Loftice feels less like an office and more like a place people actually want to be.

Safe to say... they're our most popular team members.

Considering a GmbH/Sàrl/Sagl as an expat founder in Switzerland? Here are three things worth having sorted before you incorporate. Your right to be self-employed depends on your residence permit type. If you don't yet have Swiss domicile, you'll need at least one Swiss-resident director with signatory power, a legal requirement rather than a nice-to-have. And authorities and banks will be looking for genuine, on-the-ground activity, not a mailbox address. Susan Platt breaks this down in this clip from the Swiss Biz Builder Sessions series.

The end of your workday is just as important as the beginning.
Many founders finish by simply closing the laptop and hoping they'll remember everything tomorrow.

But a few intentional minutes before you switch off can make a remarkable difference.

A tidy workspace.
One meaningful email.
Three clear priorities.
A notebook for fresh ideas.
One simple next step.

These aren't dramatic productivity hacks. They're small habits that reduce mental clutter, create clarity, and help you begin tomorrow with confidence instead of overwhelm.

Building a successful business doesn't always require doing more.
Often, it starts with finishing the day well.

🌿 Which of these five habits do you already practice? And which one will you try this week?
