Cri de Coeur..
There is so much information swirling around these days... one contradicting with the other, it is very difficult for me as a person who is very distant from politics to put together a general picture...
One thing is clear...
Russians and Ukrainians are very close to each other, families and culture are intertwined, like no other nation of the former Soviet Union... and you have to be Russian or Ukrainian to truly understand the absurdity of what is happening and the depth of this pain.
My heart sinks when I think about the people in Ukraine, hiding their children from the bombs and bullets, about the soldiers, who out of fear of death, are shooting their friends and relatives.
I feel pain and fear for Russians, who are now facing a total economic and moral catastrophe... who for many people on this planet turned from heroes who conquered the world's evil into enemies and occupants in six days...
I cannot let go of the thought, as many other Ukrainians and Russians do: thank God our grandfathers, who had fought for Peace did not live to see this day..
I fear for our planet... how come that most of the modern world is ruled by strange soulless creatures who do not care about common people?
Who allow terror and war in their own country... who manipulate the minds of their own citizens and hold them in fear and have the right to invade an independent and recently so close country...
The world has gone mad!
and we all have better things to do, from taking care of our own personal home and family, to taking care of our common and only home, the planet...
Why aren't people dolphins?
P.s. I am very thankful to my Ukrainian friends, for their generosity, in spite of everything, to keep in touch with me and accept my help. And to my foreign friends for their support and compassion for both sides and their neutrality.
I once had to feel the breath of death very close to me. Believe me, this fear is indescribable.
Stop killing people in Ukraine. Stop the War.
