It is an independent, non-profit school located high in the Swiss Alps, in the village of Chesières-Villars. Our founder, John Corlette, had a unique vision of what education should be when he enrolled the first six students in 1949. se community of enlightened, engaged young people who are ambitious to make a positive difference. Our students enjoy outstanding educational opportunities in a beautiful, safe and secure location. And, by the time you leave us, you will be fully prepared for the next stage of your life. Our school community includes students from all over the world – we are in fact a global hub in our own right! Currently approximately 60 nationalities are represented within the Aiglon student body, from diverse religions, languages and cultures. Many of our students are seasoned international travellers with links to more than one country. Students follow the challenging International GCSE (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma) programmes. We also offer optional courses for the American SAT exams. We provide expert support for students who speak English as an additional language, who go on to take Cambridge and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exams. All students take part in our programme of outdoor expeditions and adventures, which is a unique and distinctive feature of life at the school. You will also enjoy many opportunities in sport, drama, art, music, and community service. The Aiglon student body includes close to 70 juniors (age 9-13), nearly 300 Senior School students (age 13-18), including just under 140 in the IB Diploma years (age 16-18). While new students most commonly join us at 9, 11, 13 or 16, we offer rolling admission and welcome applications at any age from 9 to 16.

Au cours des 12 derniers mois, nous avons eu le grand plaisir de renforcer nos liens avec la communauté locale🇨🇭et de collaborer avec elle à de nombreuses reprises. Au nom de nos élèves et de l'ensemble du personnel, nous tenons à adresser nos plus sincères remerciements à nos voisins et partenaires locaux pour leur confiance, leur engagement et leur soutien tout au long de cette année.

Dans cette deuxième édition de notre rapport annuel sur l'impact communautaire, nous mettons en lumière les liens qu'Aiglon tisse avec ses voisins de Barboleuse, Chesières, Gryon, Ollon, Villars-sur-Ollon et au-delà. Ces collaborations enrichissent l'expérience de nos élèves en développant leur esprit d'entraide, leur sens de la philanthropie, tout en contribuant à forger leurs valeurs citoyennes. 😃

Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome Global Edge to campus to officially present our Year 10 students with their awards from last year's 'Global Edge Generation Enterprise Competition' in partnership with COBIS - Council of British International Schools.

Generation Enterprise is the world's biggest entrepreneurship competition for British international schools around the globe. They received entries from Vietnam, all the way to the Americas, Africa, across Europe, and teams submitted their venture ideas in response to a series of real-world challenge statements.

"I have some very exciting news. There are two teams, not just one, two teams from Aiglon entered the Generation Enterprise Competition. And we're super excited to share that actually an Aiglon team was a runner-up in the senior category, and that team was Snackify" stated Calvin Eden, Director Founder, Global Edge. "But even bigger, we do have a team of people that actually won the entire category. They won the whole thing! Their project was amazing. This was from Innovibe" he continued.

Many thanks to our 6 alumni who returned to campus for our "From Campus to Careers" panel. 😃

They shared their journeys from Aiglon to university and beyond, offering valuable insights into the experiences that shaped their professional paths. Highlights included panel discussions, interactive workshops, and an inspiring keynote address by Roya Ansari, who reflected on her 40 years as a business leader in Silicon Valley. Additionally, Dominic Lester, EMEA Head of Investment Banking at Jefferies, joined Assistant Head (Years 12 & 13) Gareth Matthews for an engaging fireside chat.

This event offered our Year 11 to 13 students a special opportunity to engage with Aiglon community members. Our panelists generously volunteered their time, talent, and treasure - traveling from the US, Pakistan, and across Europe to participate.

The day also marked the official launch of the Aiglon Accelerator Programme, designed to help students gain real-world insights, expand their networks, and accelerate their professional development.

Aiglon Year 9 Enterprise Fusion programme asks students to do something most adults find difficult: build a real business from scratch, make mistakes in public, and learn from them in real time. For most students, that begins with an idea. 💡

For Isabella (Year 11), it began with a stack of flyers on the streets of Shanghai.

A career opportunity at Aiglon College. 😃 We are looking for a Sport Facilities Manager & Activity Coordinator (Short-Term Cover).

Highlights of the role include:

✅ Design, oversee and support a high quality and successful activities programme across the school.
✅ Produce and publish the weekly Sports Centre and facilities timetable.
✅ Oversee presentation, cleanliness and day-to-day supervision of the Fitness Suite.
✅ Educate students on safe lifting technique, recovery, nutrition and injury prevention.
✅ Foster a culture of respect for equipment and peers.

It's an action packed weekend on campus. 😃

Yesterday, the new students and their families had the opportunity to ease into campus life. The Essentials Fair was set up to collect uniform and sports kit, as well as campus tours and presentations from the school leadership.

The student ambassadors supported the new students to settle into campus and boarding house life.

There are many more activities taking place on campus today and tomorrow. The campus is buzzing with activities ahead of the start of classes on Monday.

For the first day of the arrival weekend programme, we were fortunate to have a powerful double rainbow arch over the campus. 🌈 😃

It is wonderful to welcome so many new students, families and returning students back to campus. There are activities taking place across the campus and up the mountain. This is an opportunity to ease back into the rhythm of school.

Joining at the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year, Flora Meng is the latest addition to the university advising team. She brings over a decade of experience in international education, spanning university advising, programme development, and classroom teaching.

The team is led by Patience Fanella-Koch (Director, University Advising). It includes expert advisers trained in university admissions practices and procedures around the world. Each adviser is assigned a house to build a rapport with students.

Flora was drawn to Aiglon by the school's commitment to educating the whole person, a philosophy that deeply resonates with her own approach. “I look forward to working collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues to further integrate university advising into the fabric of Aiglon, building a programme that is deeply connected to the community” she stated.

The Director of Expeditions serves as the strategic lead for Aiglon’s renowned expedition department. The post holder is responsible for the development and delivery of the programme’s vision and ethos, ensuring it is progressive, relevant, and distilled into a coherent curriculum across the whole school. They provide leadership to a team of qualified expeditioners and ensure that all activities are managed with the highest standards of safety and risk management.
