🎉 WELCOME BACK, ISCS! 🎉

The 2026/27 academic year is officially here — and we are SO excited to see our campus full of students again! 💙

A huge welcome back to all our returning families, and an especially warm welcome to everyone joining the ISCS family for the first time. We are so happy to have you with us!

A new school year means new friendships, new challenges, new opportunities and so much to look forward to. This year, we’ll continue to make sure every student is known, valued and supported, with a strong focus on individual academic progress, confidence, independence and helping every student reach their full potential.

And there is plenty happening beyond the classroom! Trips, activities, assemblies, events, shows and shared experiences will bring our community together throughout the year.

With Excellence, Respect and Global Mindset guiding us, we can’t wait to see what our students achieve in 2026/27.

Happy Birthday, Switzerland! 🇨🇭

We’re proud to call Cham home, and we try to show it in more than words. Our pupils learn German as a core subject, right alongside everything else they study, not as an afterthought. They walk the local Wanderweg trails as part of school life, not just on excursions, and they play alongside SC Cham on the pitch. When Räbeliechtli comes round, they’re out with lanterns like every other child in the canton. Samichlaus visits in December, and Fasnacht in spring brings the same noise and colour to our school as it does to the streets outside.

We’ve taken pupils to CERN, to the Kunsthaus in Zürich, to the SRF TV studios, to the Burg Museum here in Zug — not to tick boxes, but because these places are part of understanding where they’re growing up. We go skiing to Verbier, hiking in Stoos or further afield in Valais. We climb Via Ferrattas, paddle on Zug lake, play volleyball in Hünenberg. We take part Swiss National Futures day where our pupils get the chance to spend a day in the offices of local companies; we compete in national Maths Olympiad or chess tournaments. Our partnership with the local charities, they learn early that giving back to this community is part of every day life.

With families from over 30 nationalities at ISCS, Switzerland gives everyone here something shared to build on, whatever else they bring with them.

This summer at ISCS, children don’t have to choose between learning and having fun – they get both. Our ☀️Summer Camp☀️ will bring together sports and play so that every child can find their passion, try something new and surprise themselves with what they can do. From visits to local attractions, to football, swimming in the lake and team games with friends, each day is a mix of focused learning and high‑energy fun.
You know ISCS - we are all about creating a friendly, family-feel environment. Our teachers and specialist partners create a warm environment where every child is known by name and encouraged to take the next step – by the end of the week, they go home with new skills, great memories and tiredness that only comes from a full day of real‑life adventure!

Our ISCS pupils have had an incredible start to their China adventure, enjoying their first two days in Beijing. From exploring famous landmarks and discovering centuries of history to experiencing local traditions and tasting authentic Chinese cuisine, every moment has provided a unique opportunity to learn, explore, and grow.

At ISCS, education extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. International experiences like this are an important part of our approach to learning, helping pupils connect their studies to the real world while developing independence, confidence, curiosity, and cultural awareness. Through travel, exploration, and meaningful experiences, our pupils gain a broader perspective of the world and the skills needed to thrive within it.

The Par Programme, our high-performance sports programme, is designed to foster talent and excellence, offering high-level training in tennis, ice hockey, golf, and skiing, while students achieve their academic goals through the Cambridge Internafional curriculum. Our mission is to develop student-athletes prepared to excel at the highest levels, both athletically and academically. The programme is delivered in partnership with the leading sports providers: OYM (fitness and conditioning training), EVZ (ice-hockey), TAP Academy (tennis and padel), Figure Skating Club (ice-skating).

Our ISCS pupils swapped the gym for courts and quickly discovered that squash is a game that keeps you thinking, moving, and reacting from the very first rally 🏸

During the session, run by amazing coaches from at a nearby Zugerland Sports complex, pupils learned the rules of the game, practised key techniques, and worked through a variety of drills designed to improve movement, control, accuracy, and reactions. From serving practice to fast-paced rallies, the courts were full of energy throughout the morning.

The session gave pupils the chance to challenge themselves in a completely new sport while building confidence with every rally. As the morning went on, pupils became more comfortable on court, improving their reactions, and enjoying the competitive side of the game.

For many pupils, this was their very first experience playing squash, making the session even more exciting. It was great to see so many pupils stepping outside their comfort zones, supporting one another, and developing new skills in such a positive environment. Our very own Coach Booth, our PE teacher, was impressed by how quickly pupils became more confident and comfortable on court. Thank you to the amazing coaches for your expertise! Well done everyone!!!
