🔥HAPPY WITH HEAT – HOT TAKES 2🔥
How does sauna design differ between Finnish sauna and Aufguss?
Aufguss expert Robert Heinevetter explains that the biggest difference is not necessarily in the basic elements — both use heat, stones, water and steam.
The difference is often in how the sauna is used.
In a Finnish sauna, the bathers usually control the löyly and the rhythm themselves.
In an Aufguss sauna, the space also needs to support the sauna master, movement and the controlled circulation of hot air.
That can influence the layout, bench design and even the position of the heater.
🔥 Hot take:
Sauna design is not only about how the space looks.
It should support the experience you want to create.
