Yesterday we had a successful virtual workshop about conceptual models from Professor Henri Masson. Tuesday 15 December 2020 at 03:00 PM GMT+1/CET Professor Henri Masson will give the second workshop about conceptual models. In this workshop he will discuss the submitted contextual frameworks and the research frameworks of the students for a more in depth-webinar.

In this 40-minute workshop he will give the students more in-depth information about the theory of conceptual models. One of our professors, professor Vasilios Stouraitis, co-wrote the case study Developing the First Digital Bank of Africa: The Steps Towards the Creation of a Digital Bank in a Very Challenging Environment. The case study overviews the steps followed to develop the first Digital Bank in Africa. Following a case study method, the crucial decisions made over a 2-year period is analyzed. The case study describes the challenges of each different phase, as well as the outcomes and the impact they had in the bank's digital transformation journey.

SSM Research Center offers a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Logistics based on blended and online learning principles. The program is highly structured and internationally accredited by IACBE. Due to the blended learning aspects, there are no admissions deadlines. Individuals can start, pause, and finish whenever they want. Prof. Joseph Mumba is the director of ESAMI Business School and is Chief Management Consultant. He has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University, United Kingdom. An MBA in Strategic Operations Management from University of Wales, United Kingdom. And a BSc (distinction and honors) in Physics and Mathematics from University of Malawi, Malawi. He teaches ESAMI’s MBA students Research courses and is supervisor for MBA, DBA and PhD students for a couple of years.

Swiss School of Management (SSM) and ESAMI are jointly bringing a 3-year internationally accredited DBA program to East and South Africa. Starting now, students can apply through our admissions form. Candidates enrolled in 2020 receive a generous partial scholarship. The program is based on blended learning. All of the coursework can be done using SSM’s e-learning platform, and ESAMI and SSM campuses are available as study centers. Four-day workshops are not mandatory. SSM offers frequent webinars on selected topics.

Daniel Onwuh is a supply chain and logistics professional with 22+ years of work experience in National and International organizations where he is responsible for Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Onwuh’s research is on: ‘Uncertainty, Integration and Supply Chain Flexibility for Commodities Logistics Management of Organizations in Nigeria.’ Expected release date of the research is summer 2021.

Dr. Robert Goedegebuure holds a PhD in International Business from the Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University, the Netherlands). He has worked in marketing research, (official) statistics. He has specialized in the impact of internationalization on firm strategies and industrial policy. He has performed research projects for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, and European and international institutions. In addition, he has authored numerous modules in marketing and marketing research.

Dr. Robert Goedegebuure is a supervisor and mentor at SSM Research Center and he gives the workshop Quantitative Methods.
