💛 Finding Our Place at Stepping Stones

As our second week comes to an end, the children are becoming increasingly familiar with their new groups, teachers and daily routines. New friendships are beginning to form, favourite spaces are being discovered, and Stepping Stones is starting to feel like a place where they belong. 🌱

Settling looks different for every child. Some are ready to explore straight away, while others need a reassuring hand, a familiar routine or simply a little more time. Our teachers are there for all of those moments, helping each child feel secure, confident and part of their group.

Two weeks in, and the new school year is already beginning to find its rhythm. ✨

🌧️ Rainy Day Play at Stepping Stones 🌿

A rainy day simply brings a different kind of outdoor play. With waterproofs and wellies on, the children made the most of the puddles, mud and open-ended materials in our garden — pouring, mixing, transporting and creating as they played together. 💦🪣

Experiences like these offer rich sensory exploration while encouraging imagination, cooperation and confidence outdoors — whatever the weather. 🌱

🩹❤️ Ready for the New School Year ❤️🩹

Before we welcome the children back next week, our team has been refreshing some of the skills that matter most.

A big thank you to Luitgard Holzleg from HEALTHY AND SAFE for another practical and engaging First Aid refresher course — putting our staff through real-life scenarios, revisiting CPR and giving everyone the opportunity to practise, ask questions and build confidence. 🚑

Regular refresher training ensures that our team feels confident and prepared should their first-aid skills ever be needed. ❤️

A Gift from the Heart 💙

As we close the doors for the summer, we wanted to share one final thank you.

This beautiful painting, lovingly created by one of our Stepping Stones families, captures the warmth, friendship and sense of belonging that make our school so special. It is a gift we will treasure and a wonderful reminder of a year filled with laughter, learning and so many happy memories.

To all of our families, thank you for your kindness, encouragement and trust throughout the year. It is a privilege to share these precious early years with your children, and we are grateful to have been part of their journey.

We wish you all a wonderful summer filled with rest, adventure and special family moments. We look forward to welcoming everyone back—and meeting new families—when a new Stepping Stones adventure begins in August.

Summer Holiday Camp is in full swing! ☀️

While the school year may have come to an end, the fun certainly hasn’t. Over the next two weeks our Holiday Camp offers children a relaxed and enjoyable mix of creative activities, outdoor adventures, water play, games, exploration and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being children.

With smaller groups and a slower pace, Holiday Camp gives children the chance to follow their interests, make new friends and create wonderful summer memories in a familiar, caring environment.

For many of our families, it also provides the reassurance of continued, high-quality care during the school holidays, making it easier to balance family life and work while knowing their children are happy, safe and engaged.

Here’s to two weeks of sunshine, laughter and summer adventures! ☀️💙

Every journey begins with a first step, and every school year leaves footprints behind.

As we approach the end of another wonderful year at Stepping Stones, we find ourselves reflecting on the many moments that have shaped our days together: friendships formed, confidence gained, challenges overcome, discoveries made, and countless adventures shared.

To the children moving on to new schools and new experiences, we wish you every success and happiness on the path ahead. We know you will continue to grow, explore and shine.

To those returning after the summer, we look forward to welcoming you back for another year of learning, laughter and discovery.

Looking Ahead to Summer ☀️

As we enjoy the final weeks of the school year, our days are filled with creativity, exploration and reflection.

The children have been making special keepsakes, revisiting favourite activities and continuing to challenge themselves through play, problem-solving and discovery. From crafting and mark-making to games and imaginative creations, every experience helps build confidence, independence and a love of learning.

It has been wonderful to see how much the children have grown throughout the year, and we are making the most of these last opportunities to learn, create and celebrate together.

As summer approaches, we look forward to enjoying the remaining days of term and all the adventures still to come. ☀️

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate all the fathers, grandfathers and special father figures who encourage curiosity, adventure and a love of learning.

Whether exploring outdoors, building, creating, fixing or discovering something new together, these shared moments help children grow in confidence and independence.

This week, the children also prepared small Father’s Day gifts with plenty of care and enthusiasm, ready to take home to the special people in their lives.

We wish all our Stepping Stones families a wonderful Father’s Day filled with laughter, adventure and time together.
