According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025, it is projected that 92 million jobs will be displaced by 2030 due to technological shifts, economic trends and the green transition.

However, the report also estimates that 170 million new jobs will be created by 2030. This results in a projected net gain of 78 million jobs globally. This disruption is expected to affect approximately 22% of current roles. Clearly indicating the urgent need for "reskilling" and "upskilling" by the end of the decade.

The rise of AI tools has changed the conversation in the education industry, with educators now required to be agile learners themselves. The focus is shifting from educators being "fountains of knowledge" to "facilitators of inquiry" who help students navigate the academic hurdles while incorporating AI tools in their teaching styles.

If education systems fail to adapt, the impact on future generations might be immeasurable.

2025 BVIS Switzerland Future Leaders Summer Camp 🇨🇭

Corporate Visit – Grand Hotel National Lucerne, a Century-old Luxury Hotel in Switzerland

Yesterday, we led students to visit Grand Hotel National Lucerne. Founded in 1870 and located on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the hotel has withstood the test of time. Once a popular status symbol among European royal families, its rich history and popularity have attracted many during the years. Mr. César Ritz, the progenitor of modern hotel management, ushered in the illustrious era of this hotel and it has never stopped growing, all while maintaining its original roots.

In our tour conducted by Leonie, Head of Marketing, we gained insights into the operation of this five-star luxury hotel, as well as how they make corresponding adjustments to the hotel's strategies in response to market changes. She shared the logic behind modern hospitality businesses with the students, inspiring them to think beyond the now, bearing in mind the ever-changing landscape of hospitality and tourism globally.
