15th Aug 2026: Govt. SSS Tadong celebrated the 80th Independence Day with vibrant colors. Strting with the Flag hoisting and National Anthem. Program continued with national song Vande Matram. Students participated in cultural program with patriotic song and dance. NSS Volunteers and Eco Club students took part in the program enthusiastically. Ms. Tenzing Dolma Lepcha spoke about the Eco Club-Mission Life Campaign which focuses on reducing the use of Single Use Plastic. Jingles were also played for the entire school and community, providing the information related to clean and green environment. Principal Maam also address the students and spoke about the students role in shaping the future of the country. Today's MC was Mr. Suren Kr. Sharma (PRT).

14/08/2026- Today Tadong Senior Secondary School took part in The Plastic Freedom Challenge wherein Students participated in drawing National Flag on paper to Avoid Use of Plastic National Flag.Our message is clear that celebration should not harm and pollute our Environment. As a mark of Awareness to Community we the teachers and students conducted rally enchanting No to Single Use of Plastic from school campus till Nearby area. Lastly our activity concluded with a Message from Eco Club to avoid using plastic National flag to celebrate Independence Day Instead Encourage everyone to use paper and cloth National flag . We the Eco Club humbly request all to minimise use of plastic in our day to day life to Protect our Mother Nature. Let’s all Unite to keep our Environment Clean and Green. 🌎🌿☘️🌱🪴
