Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the extension of the suspension of face-to-face classes until tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, 2026. This directive covers all levels in both public and private schools across the city.
The extension aims to keep learners, teachers, and school personnel safe from potential heavy rainfall brought about by the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). As of this writing, several areas inside barangay remain flooded.
Schools are authorized to implement online learning or alternative teaching modalities to ensure educational continuity. However, Caluag advises school administrations to thoroughly review their learners' specific situations before deploying these options, given the flooding situation in localized areas.
According to the 5:00 PM Heavy Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA today, August 10, the City of San Fernando remains under Orange Warning Level.
Everyone is urged to follow safety protocols from health and disaster risk agencies to minimize hazards. Please keep local emergency hotlines readily available:

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT | On the Unauthorized Use of School Logos and Publications
Protecting Our School Identity and Integrity
It has come to our attention that several unofficial "Confession Walls" and student-run pages have been using official school logos, branding, and publication names without authorization.
We would like to gently but firmly remind the entire student body:
⚠️ School Logos & Publications Are Official Representations
School logos, seal emblems, and publication mastheads are not ordinary images that can be freely downloaded and attached to any social media page. They carry the identity, tradition, and official voice of our institution.
"Confession Walls" and unauthorized pages fall outside the mandates established under DepEd Order No. 07, s. 2026. Using official branding on unauthorized pages creates confusion and falsely implies that the school endorses or manages the content posted on these platforms.
📌 What Students Need to Do:
1. If you operate or manage a page that uses the school logo, publication header, or official emblems, please remove them immediately.
2. Respect intellectual property and the official identity of your school.
3. Always check the school’s official pages and accredited publication platforms for genuine news, announcements, and updates.
Remember: A logo represents our shared identity and pride. Let’s protect it by using it responsibly and through the proper, authorized channels.
