FOR or SINCE — which one is correct?

This is one of the most common mistakes in English!

FOR = period of time ⏱
→ "I studied for 2 hours."

SINCE = specific point in time 📅
→ "I have studied since 8 AM."

Simple rule:
FOR + duration → for 3 years / for a week
SINCE + moment → since 2020 / since Monday
