Science Makes Daily Life Simpler and More Convenient; Students Showcase Scientific Thinking Through Posters

Daulatpur Chowk, August 19: A Science Poster Presentation Competition was organized by the Department of Science at Government College Daulatpur Chowk. Students from the Science stream participated enthusiastically and showcased their knowledge, creativity, and scientific thinking.

The students prepared attractive and informative posters on various topics, including the importance of Physics in daily life, applications of Chemistry, and the significance of Biology in human life. Through their posters, they highlighted how science is closely connected with every aspect of life and plays an important role in making modern life simpler, safer, and more convenient.

The Principal of the college, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, attended the competition as the Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the students. He emphasized that developing a scientific temperament, curiosity, and a spirit of innovation among students is the need of the hour. He stated that science should not be confined to the classroom or syllabus but should be connected with everyday life and solutions to societal problems.

Dr. Manoj Kahol, the Guest of Honour, encouraged the students and motivated them to continuously strive for new ideas, innovation, and research in the field of science.

The judging panel comprised Dr. Raman Kumar, Dr. Rohini, and Dr. Manisha. The posters were evaluated on the basis of content, clarity of scientific facts, creativity, presentation, and relevance of the topic. The students presented their topics confidently and also responded effectively to questions posed by the judges.

The competition was organized and coordinated by Prof. Ritika and Prof. Naina, who provided the students with the necessary guidance and support. The event aimed to promote scientific thinking, creativity, presentation skills, and interest in science among students. The enthusiastic participation of the students contributed to the successful conduct of the competition.

Friendly Volleyball Match on the Occasion of Independence Day
On the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August, a friendly volleyball match was organized between Government College Daulatpur Chowk and GSSS Daulatpur Chowk with great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. The match provided an excellent opportunity for students and players from both institutions to showcase their talent, teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit. The event was conducted in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, promoting mutual cooperation and healthy interaction between the two educational institutions. The players displayed excellent skills, coordination, and dedication throughout the match, while the spectators enthusiastically encouraged both teams. The friendly match added a vibrant sporting spirit to the Independence Day celebrations and conveyed an important message about the role of sports in promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork, friendship, and unity among students. The event concluded on a positive note, with both institutions appreciating the efforts of the players and organizers and expressing their commitment to encouraging more such sports activities in the future.

Independence Day Celebration at Government College Daulatpur Chowk

Government College Daulatpur Chowk celebrated Independence Day on 15th August with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and national pride. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, the Tricolour, by the Principal, Sh. Ajay Sharma, in the presence of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. The members of NSS, NCC, Rover and Ranger also participated actively in the celebration. After the flag hoisting, the Principal, along with all the staff members, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, Rovers and Rangers, saluted the National Flag as a mark of respect and honour to the nation. The National Anthem was also observed with great respect and devotion, creating an atmosphere of unity and patriotism throughout the college campus. The celebration highlighted the sacrifices and contributions of our freedom fighters and reminded everyone of their responsibility towards the nation. The Principal appreciated the active participation of all staff members and student volunteers and encouraged everyone to work sincerely for the progress, unity, integrity, and development of the country. The entire programme reflected the spirit of “Nation First” and concluded with a strong message of patriotism, responsibility, and commitment towards building a better and stronger India.
