I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all on the successful completion of my tenure as the Vice Chancellor of DDU Gorakhpur University on today (4th Sept 2023). I woe my indebtedness and very sincere gratitude to Hon'ble Chancellor madam and Hon'ble Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh. Under Her Excellency leadership, the university achieved a remarkable milestone by obtaining the prestigious A++ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.78. I also want to express my sincere gratitude for unwavering support and guidance by whole Rajbhawan team especially ACS Dr Bobery ji, Dr Pankaj Jani ji, Ashok Desai ji. I extend my best wishes for good health and success in all, who support me in my entire journey. Serving continuously as Vice Chancellor from last almost six years in five Universities, tomorrow I am joining as Senior Professor for long due academic break on prestigious teachers day 5th sept

# Here i am sharing one interaction about my journey which was taken at the last day of my tenure (4th sep 2023)

DDU you got A++ with 3.78 score out of scale 4, which bring us among top 5 universities of our country. To move ahead we have to bring bring funds/grants with various schemes like Institutions of Eminence, University with potential for Excellences, Department with centre of Excellence, hub of startup’s through incubators, skill hubs especially soft skills, distance learning centre, Human Resources
Mangement and faculty development for New Education Policy etc will be focus of DDU GU in coming days.

I am sad to share that my mother is no more. She was the lady with firm determination. She at the age of 85 was strict disciplinarian and my role model. Some of the discipline which I have , was inherited from her. I thought she will be with me for some more time but I am not lucky, she is no more with me. I remember I was very happy to get A++ with 3.78 grade point for NAAC for DDU Gorakhpur University on 17th Jan 2023 scoring among top 5 universities in Country. But also on 17th Jan 2023 my mother was operated for her hip bone fracture later she developed infection in lungs and later in brain today she is no more with us. This is balance of life. You do not get everything. CM yogi Maharaj ji tweeted for her. Let her soul sleep in peace.

अत्यंत दुख के साथ सूचित कारना है कि मेरी माताजी श्रीमती विद्या सिंह पत्नी डॉ0 आर0 पी0 सिंह पूर्व कुलपति MPUAT उदयपुर एवम निदेशक, प्रसार एन डी एनवर्सिटी कुमारगंज फैजाबाद का 29.01.2023 को रात्रि लगभग 10 PM देहांत होगया है जिनका दाह संस्कार 30.1.2023 को 2.30 PM विनय खण्ड गोमतीनगर 5/5 से वैकुंठ धाम गोमती नदी के लिए रवाना होंगे।

Heartiest congratulations to all of the Teachers, Officers, Non teaching staffs, Students and Parents for achieving A++ grade in NAAC

It was a privilege to confer Distinguished Alumnus Award to Shri Rajnath Singh ji, Hon'ble Minster of Defence, Government of India at his residence 17 Akbar Road, New Delhi on Sunday, 9th of October, 2022.
He is an Alumnus of DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. He did his B.Sc. (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) in 1969 from K.B.P.G. College, Mirzapur and M.Sc. (Physics) in 1971, with First Division from Department of Physics, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. He registered in Ph. D in 1985 under Prof. L. N. Tripathi. He had published two research papers on Electroluminescence in a reputed International Journal. He almost completed his Ph.D. and was on the verge of submission when he became Education Minister in 1991 in the first ever BJP Government in UP. His Supervisor and Teachers in Department of Physics, DDU Gorakhpur University approached Shri Rajnath Singh to submit his Ph.D. thesis but he refused to do so because of his highest ideals towards Education. Notably, according to statutory provision, there was no hindrance in submission of a thesis as during that period of time there was no residential requirements as presently laid down in UGC Ph.D. ordinance 2018.

He was an active member of ABVP and a resilient student leader of the then Gorakhpur University during 1970-71. He was the only student leader who had opposed the visit of the then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi during Oct. 1971. He made sure that he didn’t miss any class. He was known as one of most sincere and studious students and very popular among his colleagues and teachers.
I am happy to share that DDU Gorakpur University has initiated two gold medals in the name of two distinguished Alumni one Shri Rajnath Singh ji (to be awarded for securing highest marks in under graduation in Physics) and 2nd in the name of Prof Devender Sharma (to be awarded for securing highest marks in M. Sc. Physics). These will be conferred from 2022-23 degree.
Shri Rajnath Singh ji has agreed to be chief guest at the occasion of the 1st International Alumni Meet of Gorakhpur, University, Gorakhpur.

Hearty congratulations and best wishes to javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra for winning the gold medal for India in Tokyo Olympics. This proud and historic achievement will inspire the youth.
So, the Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University announced the fellowship in the name of Neeraj Chopra. The fellowship will be awarded to the best performing athlete. This will motivate the players to perform better.

This great moment for country and all the sports person of the country including students specially of DDU Gorakhpur University. I am so happy, It must has not been easy, I wish every Universities has enough facilities to reach students automatically.
